Hey DarkGodot! I think it's possible since the game already runs in the web.

Too simple — I think we need to increase the difficulty and add a real goal.

I recommend running to the right — there will be a building.

Then run straight ahead. I don’t recommend activating the nearby safe zones around the spawn in the corner. It’s better to collect as many lamps, batteries, and film rolls as possible. After activating the first safe zone, you’re really going to need them.

«Activate safe zones for safety. The goal is to survive or to skillfully activate a zone in a dangerous situation. Safe zones are not marked on the map, but you can memorize their locations or draw them on a piece of paper.»

I want to play this. xd

Thank you! That’s really nice to hear. I’m hoping to finish the demo by the end of the month.

I agree, the games should be started during the jam. 🙂
I’m just trying to build an audience for a game I’ll be releasing soon. I’m not actually participating in the jam, so if the admins decide to disqualify me, that’s totally fine.

Good luck to everyone joining the jam!💪

The game was supposed to be finished 2 days ago, but due to the rocket attacks, my sleep schedule got messed up. So, I haven’t done anything for a couple of days. I think it will take another week if I start working now. 🤝

Which of the jam participants has the best works? Can you sketch some. I lost the jam at the very start, but I'm curious to see the works of the other guys.

About Dear Esther — I feel like it has a really sad atmosphere. Personally, I’d like something more neutral, like in Voices of the Void.

Horror colleagues

Yeah, my mistake was focusing on shaders instead of gameplay 😅 During the jam, I wasn’t just working on graphics — I was writing classes for model export and implementing PBR rendering. Even when the game is soon available, I’ll still limit it to a screenshot-level demo for now, to spend more time on gameplay.

But overall, yes, I want to make the graphics really high quality, like a proper PC game.

I like games with this kind of art; they remind me of Mike Klubnika games and similar developers.

Thanks. Yeah, looks like without files there’s no indexing. Though I’ve noticed there are pages without files, just showing devlogs and and presentation.

Thanks for the thorough reply — fingers crossed my page gets reviewed and indexed soon.

Why aren’t my game pages and developer page showing up in itch.io search? Also, my game screenshots disappeared from Google, even though the pages are still indexed.

Also, take a look at the meaning of the word ‘wishlist’. It mostly refers to adding unreleased games to a list, like on Steam. But itch.io doesn’t have this feature, and how would a collection help me if my games aren’t even indexed on itch.io?

In short, games aren’t being indexed in the itch search, and game screenshots have disappeared from Google.

Game screenshots have disappeared from Google, even though they were available before. Also, games cannot be found through the itch.io search.

Additionally, the developer’s page cannot be found through itch.io search, even though it is indexed on Google.

(No need to be rude, you can just share links or provide information.)

Why doesn’t itch.io have a wishlist feature, and why isn’t a game indexed while the page is still accessible? Will this be fixed at some point? Some developers don’t want to publish an unfinished game right away but would still like to build an audience first.

Can you recommend more jams currently running on itch.io?

The game will be published after the jam.

I only started working on gameplay a day before the deadline. Before that, I was busy switching the renderer to PBR and updating the model loading classes.

I didn’t make it in time, sorry, but the game will be published within 2 days after the game jam.

Alright. I was starting to worry that my horror game doesn't have any cookies. But just in case, I'll add one anyway :)

For those who’ve participated in game jams: will the counter stop at 100 projects, or do people usually submit their entries massively at the very end?

For those making a game about cookies: first read the translation and the origin of this phrase. The biscuit here plays no role at all — it’s just an expression about taking a risk, even for something small.

Right now I’m working on the sound system. It’s been a thorny path that has taken a lot of time, but honestly, it’s starting to sound pretty good. I’ll also be adding more screenshots of the game once the core mechanics are ready.

Also… there’s going to be a hedgehog in the game. I don’t really know why, but yeah — there will be a hedgehog.

Stay tuned!
