only gripe being the 'i have to 'move' to the wall then jump and flip to the opposite which feels rather weird, but outside of a mini bug where i lost the axolotl's vision (probably cause it stayed in the middle of its flip for some time), it worked well and straight to the point. also the walls stops at some points if you hit a spike and restart from scratch, is it intentional.

nice game jam :)

I suck at platformers. :) This was way too hard for me (which is probably not the game's fault). I just could not figure out how to time my jumps correctly to actually make it up the different platforms. I love the graphics and the sounds, though. And the axolotl is very cute. I really wish I could have helped it to escape.

Like the gameplay. It was challenging. If the player could decelerate in air after letting go of movement keys, it would not be so difficult.

Stranger to stranger.

Good work.

Menu music was nice and grafically also nice.

I didn't manage to beat it. Wall jump and the air control where a bit off but maybe I'm just bad at tight platformers.

Nice menu and graphics. I'm to bad for your game, I get crushed all the time. Nice music and "you lost" sound effect.

This feels like jump king - although if I liked frustration I could just work more :D

I'm really bad at platform games. nice though

This is a great game. I love the axolotl and the game over sound (as I heard it a lot).  The wall jump was a bit tricky and very bouncy at some times but then again I didn't finish it, so it might be a skill issue but otherwise great game. Would love to see it expanded upon.

I agree with what others have said the wall jumping is a little strange. Could use a rework maybe or as Galexy says the character speed might fix it.
After a couple of tries, I kinda got used to it tough and did manage a Gold medal!

Really good job on the art.
Love the music!

As other people have suggested the Walljumping mechanics do need a little work, holding left to stay attached to a wall makes it confusing when wanting to jump right, i think maybe slowing the speed of the character could alleviate this. other than that i really liked the sound and artwork and the intro was nice.

The platforming does not work so well. Way too often when I got on the wall I was unable to jump in the other direction.

Overall the design is cute and the idea is nice.

Thank you!
About the wall jumping, that’s what my friend said as well. But I personally don’t have any problem with it. I think maybe some people are just used to platformer controllers that keep you wallsliding, even when you let go? And of course, when you aren’t wallsliding, you can’t walljump.

I think Celeste and Super Meat Boy have it best. The sliding is important, it gives you time to think and plan.

Well, this game has wallsliding. You just have to keep holding the left/right button against the wall. I think that’s what some people aren’t used to.
