How does your game fit the theme?
Door Dash is a rouge-like where you place the dungeon’s doors and connect the room. Each door will have a unique effect upon placement and you don't see other rooms until you open them with a door.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We made almost everything from scratch!

A few of the visual assets, however, were modified from this asset pack: https://pixel-poem.itch.io/dungeon-assetpuck

Cool visuals, wish there was more enemy variety. The door placing mechanic is awesome

Fun idea and use of the theme! I like the idea of the player essentially choosing the path they take through the dungeon. The gameplay loop is very basic but with more time I could see the potential in it.

This was a great use of the door theme and I enjoyed playing it. I think more variety in rooms and enemies would really spice it up. Great work on the game!

Actually a very neat idea good job! I love the music and how it was changing and really like how polished game was.

This is a cool variation of a dungeon crawler. I love the door placement idea. The difficulty was pretty hard out of the gate. I personally would have liked it to be a bit easier to start, but I understand some games just like to be hard! Cool stuff!

This is a solid little roguelike with a unique gimmick I don't think I've seen before. Gameplay is fun, if a little simplistic, but with more work put into the gameplay, and a hard lean into the door placing mechanic, I think it could make for a really cool full-fledged roguelike!

Very fun game! I love the concept of being able to place doors anywhere, including corners/intersections. I love the art and animation of the characters and items in this game, they look incredible :) However, if I place the door on the left or right side wall, the open animation makes it look like the door is still closed, but the character can still walk through it. I also wonder if the arrows going through walls was intended or not. Overall, I love the game so much! Thanks for the fun :D

Very motivating feedback, thank you very much. We had already designed doors for left and right but unfortunately didn't have time to implement them.

That's totally relatable ^^ There are a lot of graphical bugs in our game as well. Your game is already amazing for a game made in a week though, so incredible job to you :)

This was fun! I liked the art, sound, and music.

The combat was simple but had enough difficulty to feel rewarding. Archer skeletons can shoot through walls, which felt a little unfair.

The theme interpretation is really creative, placing doors to apply some effect to the next room is a clever mechanic. The door placement was a little janky. Using the same button to activate placement, place, and go through doors was a terrible idea lol. I kept having an issue in which the open door prompt would not appear (and I couldn’t go through the door), I think because I was too close. I would back away and re-approach and that would fix it.

It also wasn’t clear that I was in “door mode” unless I moused over a wall. Some sort of indicator would have been nice.

It wasn’t too hard to reach the boss, but it was unclear that I couldn’t place a door to the boss room at first. This was also disappointing, because I wanted to use one of the special doors against the boss. Ultimately I didn’t beat the boss because I didn’t feel like running the dungeon again to get to him for a 4th try. I guess the gameplay variety wasn’t quite there for me to keep running it.

All in all a good showing. Nice work to the team!

Thanks for playing the game and for the detailed feedback, very good points here. We will probably publish a patch after the rating phase that fixes the things you mentioned.

Very good game! Nice work, the art is amazing!

I like the game idea of like making your own path and finding new rooms and places every run, would love to see a full game version with even more levels and stuff to do

Very interesting concept! I really liked it! So far, the only things that have confused me are the arrows flying through the walls)) But overall, great job!
