How does your game fit the theme?
Technically, this game features several "doors" in the forms of magic gateways the player can go through, but the primary door that I built around the theme is the large gateway in the central "gateway hub." The player collects a set of gems of (currently) two color varieties and opens the big gateway to see where it leads.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code for this project during the week of the jam EXCEPT for the controls for the player and camera, which I pulled from another, longer-term project of mine (and which I credit a lot of to Catlike Coding, who I recommend to anyone looking to learn better Unity coding).

The playstyle felt very nostalgic definitely got hints of jak and daxter, the enemies design were very cool! Would've loved to see more movement options for the play maybe a sprint or dash of some description. Lots of really cool foundations in such a short time it's very impressive stuff!

Feel free to check out our Gameshow style game would love to hear your thoughts!

Really good prototype of a game.
Very cool and thoughtout ideas for enemies and hazards Spiky Ice shooter (was my favourite), falling lava/rock debries, exploding sun-like sphere. VFX were on point.
Adding some sfx would defenietly help the project but you know it ;)
For me player movement was too slow (but that is a subjective opinion).
I am glad you did not reset the collected crystals after a death)

Would love to see those extra 2 levels that you did not have time to finish.
And sound ofc :D

Entry with a lot of potential.
Good job :D

Cool game! I liked the hub world and going through portals to each section, collecting gems and using them for the portal. I did feel like the movement speed was a bit slow, which with the big levels made it a little tedious. One bug I found is that snowmen could hit me from behind walls.

I love that you chose to make a 3D platformer--some of my favorite games of all time are 3D platformers from the 64 and Gamecube era. Despite some placeholder graphics and lack of audio, you do have a lot of good components in place, and it will only get better from here. I added the page to my list so I'll remember to check back later on!

Pretty good game, the only bad thing is that the player movement is a bit too slow, overall great work.

If you have time take a look at my game.
