How does your game represent Mode?
This is a "Billiard Mode" of the classic minigolf genre.
You can also toggle between two "Modes" of shooting.

We've had a lot of feedback about the theme not being very present, so I want to explain it a bit more here.

During our brainstorming, we agreed that taking a famous video game or sport and making a new game mode for it that changes its rules and how it plays would be a pretty funny way to interpret the theme.

We first thought about existing game genres like Vampire Survivor but weren't very inspired by it and then thought about golf. We had a few ideas and prototyped them, and the one that felt like it could turn into a fun game was this one.

Minigolf, Dictator Mode: Instead of pushing your own ball toward the hole, you have to propel your liege's ball like you're playing a game of pool, to help him score a Hole-In-One and avoid his wrath.

this was done so well! The presentation and utilization of the two modes, makes for an addicting puzzle. I love pool and mini golf and I never thought to put them together! Great idea!

Wonderful job! I absolutely love mini golf games, golf with friends is a classic. This is a great take on mini golf gaming and love the twist of the two different modes you put in. The visual design is impeccable and the game play was a blast, the dictator mode is a fantastic idea. Great work!

I absolutely love the amount of polish on this game!  All the little details from the emotions on the king as he takes his shot and then uses binoculars to view it to the little sparkles on the golden ball.  The theme of mode was well integrated with both shot types offering different tools to complete the game.

I really liked the gradual introduction of mechanics and how you often used the king's shot to demonstrate how each new element would affect the ball.  I also appreciated how when you missed a shot you didn't have to wait for the king to retake their shot.  Though I do wish that it was quicker to get back into the action with that animation of zooming in on the king being angry he didn't get the hole in one.

Also big props to whoever did the background for all the stages.  I loved the hilly landscape with vines, berries, and some rolling clouds.

This is really polished! Great job! This feels like the type of thing that could be expanded too a full game if you wanted to.

I finished the whole thing. Very impressive for the time frame.

Super fun! I love a good golf game, and this is one of the most polished games I've played so far in this jam. I also like the unique twist on the 2d golf genre, and some of the levels were really interesting and challenging. Nice job!

I would be grateful if you checked out my submission as well.

Super polished! Lovely little game, incredible aesthetics. Plenty of room for expansion, too, would love to see new obstacles and surfaces. Had a lot of fun playing through and learning the mechanics, although more puzzle-solvey level design could bring 'aha!' moments where I often found myself relying wholly on nitpicky accuracy.

Fantastic entry!
