How does your game represent Mode?
Swap two robots between Kill Mode and Love Mode to help you solve puzzles. The robots are desynced so there's always one in Kill Mode trying to get you. Love Mode bot can be commanded.

I am sure the robot is complete safe in kill mode.
??? only in the intro where I have it scripted to not target you. Otherwise it kicks you to death or shoots you.
Yeah, I know that. I meant if anyone makes it go in kill mode randomly they will die.
Yeah swapping randomly definitely should get you killed. You're supposed to plan when you swap modes between the two bots to avoid being killed & to get help from the bot you need. The game was submitted in a bad state with a bad level, so I get that the gameplay is lost and seems pointless. Ah well.
I really like the design and the theme of the game. All of the sprites are really cool and well detailed. The game play can be a little frustrating of wrestling with the robot ai when your not sure what to do, but it makes it challenging.
Hey thank you so much. If we had more time and lowered our scope a bit we would have had tutorial levels that ease into stuff. The level that's playable is more so a hodge podge of mechanics that I slapped in one room while I programmed them unfortunately
Great attention to detail with the "investor" animation in the first part of the game. Did you do all the animations yourself?
Hey thank you! My partner on the project actually did those and knocked it out of the park imo. His tag is BubblegumWalrus.
I realize now that I still need to put full credits in the description oops. BGW came up with the idea and did all the environmental art & I coded everything & did the character art too. Music by Brand. It makes me super happy to hear people appreciating what's there since the actual game is such a mess 😅! I've already fixed it post jam though. Wish I had another day or twooo.
It's okay, there's a lot of bugs in our game too, but you guys did a great job for two weeks! ;)
After a shortish cute tutorial the game drops you in a large level with very limited idea of what you should be doing. The only thing that helped me figure it out was experience in previous puzzle games. The very first thing you have to do is move the big robot in front of some lasers so you can progress, the only problem being that the way to move the robot is imprecise and annoying. The big robot is extremely slow which may have been done to emphasize his size and weight but really just makes the game feel like its wasting my time. Then there was a bug where the big robot would not push a box all the way down then it pushed the box up with me above into trapping me in the box pushing against the wall.
Hey thank you! Yeah I'm really embarrassed about the state the game is in. That level is really just a cluster of mechanics to test them as I added them. We ran out of time to make proper levels or tutorials like we had planned. In hindsight I shoulda dropped the intro and just made good levels. Plus the boxes are super jank. The shame I have for where this game is now is a huge motivation to keep working on it and do it right now that the time pressure is gone. I almost didn't wanna submit it, but it is what it is!
I found myself getting really annoyed with big bot too lol. I'll give him some good tinkering.
I appreciate ya taking the time to give feedback!
I thought the idea was pretty fun, would love to see a post jam update with everything more polished. If you have the time to check out my game that would be much appreciated.
thanks, yeah we really liked the idea a lot. We knew it would be a stretch to pull off but were too attached to it to let it go haha.
Yeah absolutely! I'll check it out tomorrow and let ya know my thoughts. Today I'm trying to recover from 4 days of almost no sleep. Went a little too hard at it this jam for sure.
