You think in the right way, but the problem is that new players don't like reading much. Keep it in mind in the future. Gifs + short descripcion will be a beter format.
I am sorry, didn't see that there are more information! A liitle bit tired, and haven't noticed that. Now the only thing you should do - a smooth level flow which teaches player to do all these things! :)
