This game surprised me,  I thought It could be a fun game to play, but I didn't think It would be so interesting and have such an amazing story, one of the best submissions so far, good job!

I loved the story! I like how the atmosphere and the music changes, it really sets the mood. And the "poorly drawn" pixel art fits really well. My only suggestion would probably be to add a way to speed up the descent because it gets kinda repetitive. Overall, great job!

Very well made, the narrative makes you want to keep going, the simplistic pixel art fits well with the mood of the game, the changing background music helps build the tension as you go deeper and deeper on the plot, the music loop is a bit short tho.  Only real complaint I'll have is that for me one of the required progress treasure items was behind one of the depth indicators so it took  a couple tries of casting to find it, not a big issue, but I still feel like it is worth mentioning in case was not intended. Good job

Really enjoyed this one more than I thought I would! I think the way you weaved the story narrative into the gameplay was excellent, great job on that! The music  and sounds were nice and I liked that it changed in tone as the story unfolded. I'm also glad the ending wasn't what I thought it was going to be (you'll see what I mean if you watch my playthrough 🤣). Really my only criticism is that some of the sprites were a little difficult to tell what they were, especially the trash. The gameplay itself, while basic, serves its purpose well. I think if you were to expand on it by making the fish and trash move around a bit, or even get more scarce as you get deeper, would go a long way to making it more engaging.

This is a 10. The game mechanics are well implemented and as a result the game is very entertaining, the story behind the game and the narrative involved me a lot, I love the concept.

This fishing game is amazing. I loved the sounds and graphics. The only thing I'd suggest is that it's impossible to quit without alt+f4

Lol, I think Josh is stuck and should wake up now, because he lost his pills in his own game. Great story that you tell between the lines to keep the motivation.

First it was a bit confusing, because it started so quickly, but after few runs got it. At least at the beginning the game-mechanic is pretty well thought to decide eiter going deeper or fishing more trash.

Just wished, there would be maybe an overview of value and weight of the single items or so somewhere. You maybe also could have made an styled cursor, was sometimes hard to see it to open the shop (but that's a very minor thing).

It's all in all a cool little game, that fits the theme perfectly and has a unique nice style. Played it definitely ways longer than expected at the begin :-D

I played through the whole game and I can just say WOW. This game was a very nice fleshed out piece of art. 

The mechanics:

I liked the fishing - it was designed very well. It had everything - boundaries to keep you updgrading and wanting to see whats below; upgrades that were very cool and meaningfull. The gameloop didn't get boring because the upgrades weren't to far apart. There were lots of fish and diffrent types of collectibles. 

The art:

You have a very nice and neat pixel art style. The fish were very detailed and the background was interesting. I really liked all the animations because they had some nice cartoony vibe.

The story:

First it was a nice addition to add story to the game because it added a lot of character and I didn't anticipate the the ending. The notes were interesting and I enjoyed finding them and reading them ( I liked the hidden red letters).

Overall this game has the potential to be top 10 even top 5 in this game jam. This was an incredible experience  and an awesome game.

Wow. I wasn't expecting much when I opened it, but I was blown away by how polished this is. Incredible work, I couldn't stop playing until I caught every last f͌i͖͕̟̫̣̗̎̓̾͌̅͒s̟͎̮ͯ͛͗̄̚h͈͔̘͝. Great art, music, pacing. I'll be shocked if this doesn't place in the top 10. Well done, my favorite so far this jam.

It was nice to see a fishing game in jam. Well polished. I loved graphics. Fun music but can be improved. Creative mechanics. Nice to have upgrades. I wanted to keep playing the game so thats extra point.  Now I want to make a fishing game too :) Overall good job!

Awesome horror game! Really like how you doubt it was a horror game until things start getting weird... I was also able to guess the player was in a coma, which was fun lol 

This is my favorite so far. I have no critiques at all. The story plays out at the perfect pace. The way the music changes is so good. Excellent job. You're getting high marks on this one!
