Pirate mood, love it! Maybe wished for more of a Monkey Island than swashbuckling platformer style adventure, but it grabbed me gazes by the looks and stunned with old piratey phrase spits!

Your game has absolutely stunning artwork. The swashbuckling also looks fantastic. I'm just not very good at it. Being bested by frogs and mice is kinda humiliating. ^^

Some of the enemies are hard to spot, as they blend in with the background/foreground occasionally. Their hitbox could also be a bit bigger, I reckon. It's hard to hit them without getting hurt. And I got hurt. A lot. These critters are relentless. :)

There is two more things I'd like to mention:  Having to use the mouse for choosing things felt a bit clunky. Playing Blackjack with it was fine though. And you stand very close to the transition from one area to another when you restart. I've accidentally crossed over several times. It would be nice to be placed a little further away.

As mentioned, it's a beautiful game. Fun to play too. There is so much to explore! Good luck finishing the game. :)

I always love a good pirate story. The game has much to do and explore, but the controls need some more polishing. The different artstyles used in characters, enemies and background made the game feel a bit messy at times, but the main art direction is beautiful. The blackjack was also a nice addition. Good job!

This was very impressive :)  I loved the music and art (especially the sword attack animation!!)  I was really impressed that my game's progress was saved even after having exited the page as well-which brings me to a point mentioned previously but perhaps changing the attack button from Ctrl would be good? :) I'm a sucker for different dialogue choices so I'm very impressed you managed to execute that as well, awesome job!

Love the art style, super cute. Gave me big Starbound vibes. The dialogue did feel a bit weighty to me, there were a lot of big blobs of text. It was also a little difficult for me to fight the enemies without getting hit, the hitbox felt a little small and the lack of knockback forced me to take the hits a lot of the time.

I did have an issue, where when I was attacking and moving around, it would make my browser (Google chrome) try to add the page as a bookmark. Not a big deal, but maybe use a different key for attacking?

Thanks for playing and for your suggestions, I already working in a better version post-jam listening also to all the people comments.

This is so cute! The graphics are absolutely stunning and I loved the narrative you guys created! I will say, maybe split up some of the dialogue into smaller pieces. People tend to only read about 8 words at a time while playing games, so just cut it up a bit so it's not so overwhelming to the player! Also just a note, if you try to exit the game whilst in a dialogue chunk, the dialogue overlays the quit button making it impossible to click on. Overall great job! 5/5 from me :)

Thanks you so much for your nice words.

Solid submission, I love 2d moving backgrounds so I tried to implement similar things in my submission but with a 3d game, you hit the mark with the environment though. I don't have experience with 2d art/animation but whatever was going on with the sword attack art: AMAZING!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked my game. I appreciate your kind words about the environment and sword attack art. Keep up the great work on your game!
