I read this vn since round 2 came out and I really like this project. Our mixed feelings come from objectively speaking "bad writing" (I hate this term, I don't agree with its usage in this case, but I couldn't find more fitting word to describe it). MC being forced to love a character is good, it is called a route after all, but if we can choose to specifically NOT romance someone and then out of the blue our protag just develops feelings... it's just not cool man...
Yh i feel yh. I thought i could choose which guy i wanted so i said bruce was hot ig. Turns out it didn't even matter cuz I just ended up loving redline. I like redline but I thought of him as a good friend, nothing more.
Oh and I'm also concerned about the next update since idk how they're gonna solve the conflict between us and Bruce. I mean how is Bruce gonna exactly come back and say "hey sorry for trying to kill u buddy". We were legit making progress and then that happened. Also, I no longer like Bruce anymore. Sorry but I can't exactly forgive him after everything. Granted, we did sort of push his buttons but he also hit us with "you're a shit friend" so I can't exactly feel sorry for him
It makes me laugh so fking much how almost everyone wants him dead or something terrible happen to him, like, can't the story just evolve differently? 😆😆

(and i like readline's semi love plot because it develops their conflicts further so i don't really get the hate, maybe because of the lack of choice? idk i would like to romance bruce too hehe because poly but you do you my guy, tell the story you wanna tell)
As much as I absolutely adore the story and love the concept as a whole, I'm not so much a fan of being forced together with Red, especially after being given the choice to be his friend

I've been following and enjoying this VN for over a year, but damn, I didn't like this update for one simple reason...

The whole romance between Zander and Redline is so forced, it hurts. I actually think that Red is a great character, with some solid character development and background and I really like our hyena as a friend you know, but there is just no romantic chemistry between him and the protagonist... And that's why I was glad to see that he was only an optional romance in the previous round. However...
The fact that there was a choice earlier where you can pick "Purely friendship, nothing more" about your relationship with Red, yet still Zander will sleep in the same bed as Redline in the next chapter and think about how badly he wants to kiss him, like... And then there's the scene at the "fake" beach, where Zander wants to "tell him that he loves him". At the end of the chapter, no matter what you have said before, Zander still will be in love with him, so what was even the point of giving us the "choice" before... This romance is SO painfully forced, it makes me like Red and the VN overall less, which is a shame, because I really really enjoyed previous updates :/
I think the route would have felt a lot more natural if the romance had been left out. So far, the story has been showing two lonely guys becoming best friends. Turning that into a romance either needs to be done later or set up with alternate paths earlier in the game.
Zander's big character development is discovering how much he needs and loves Redline as a friend. As written his romantic feelings feel like a crush. They're too sudden and weaken the impact of their evening together.
Well, my old comment was terrible. I didnt explain what i mean, so i explain now. "So,Hanma Baki is going to defeat Kaoru Hanayama?". "Baki the grappler" manga and anime about fightings, yeah whatever. The joke was in fact that Kaoru Hanayama is much bigger than Hanma Baki, just like Bruce and Zander. But in the end of fight - Baki wins. Hope Zander wins too.
P.S: i pick here image from anime, because manga sucks in quality even worse.

I don't know of any leaks on itch's end, but I don't pay attention to the email addresses of anyone that donates. But that sounds lile something you would need to contact Itch support for.
I like the story, looking forward to knowing what's going to happen next, Bruce is so interesting and hot, but Redline on the other hand... damn he's one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen, and to make matters worse he appears all the time like the game forces him a lot as if he were the cannon romance.
OH, itch.io betrayed me, hahaha! When I wrote the comment that link was to like, what itch.io described as an updating of the files 7h before even though the files still said 5.0 and there was no devlog, so I was confused about that (note how the comment predates the devlog’s release, I swear I’m not insane :P )

That's strange, not sure why anything would be flagged. Lots of other people have been downloading and playing without issue, so I can assure you there's nothing wrong with it.

If not a VN discord server how's about a telegram chat just to talk about the VN? ^^; The reason why I'm asking is mostly because aside from itch I'm not entirely sure where the discourse and enthusiasm for the VN is funneling into. And this VN already has a channel that people just can't exactly comment on. That and it also feels a bit strange that the main places the VN is talked about is in the servers of other VNs... ^^;
This situation is so unbelievable. We have no details on the contract. Zander is just so stupid. More optimal solution would be to seek legal action and cover the story in media, or just purposefully lose those matches. And for weeks he just ignores Redline that clearly have problems. This is so surreal. But despite all that it's still enjoyable.

My heart rate literally jumped in sequence with his and before the fights and during the nightmare like nono no comfy is me.

The writing in this is absolutely amazing. Every time Zander felt down, I was on the verge of tears myself because of that feeling of powerlessness and hopelessness. Great story! 😭

Honestly, if there was no choice and Red was the only route, I would have been more comfortable with it, but given the choice, it made me sour 😅😢
