This was an interesting twist on tower defense games. At first I didn't know how to give the cards to the bot, I tried dragging them, some highlighting would work. For some reason the bot kept putting towers on the right side almost ignoring the left one, I almost lost and I needed to use all the lights to place some towers there. The last wowie sound effect was perfect.

Great AI spin on the tower defence genre! Lots of mechanics that are introduced to the player at a gradual rate, I never felt confused. My only feedback is I wish the cards had an outline of some sort so I could more easily see how many I have.

I enjoyed it! Only I must say that the player has too little agency I think. I just threw upgrades and towers into the bot and from time to time placed a pin at a strategical point and won without loosing hp. The concept is really nice, I like it a lot, but how it is now the player does not have enough choice I think.

Sounddesign was good, graphics were really nice.

FEEDBACKS :

  • no music at start
  • drag and drop with mouse would have been great
  • where we have to click isn’t clear sometimes (light part)
  • first “real” wave feels like too many things (too fast ennemies and too many cards)
  • I love when UI is integrated but here, it’s not super simple to look at the most important info (HP)
  • I didn't understand the intelligence stuff
  • cards can be almost unreadable if you keep them (when there is so many spa)

The game is kinda complicated at first, but when you understand it its really easy, the variety of cards insane, i liked the sfx, so overall a great game, very creative and unique interpretation of the theme.

I have seen others tower defense concepts in this jam but this is defently the best!

Great visuals, great mood and interpretation of the theme, great sound effects also! Very well done! I have only a few nitpicks:

-I wish the light mechanic was more prominent to have a little more control

-It would be cool if the cards had a pop out and zoom effect when you hover on them, I think this adds lot of juice to this type of games :)

Thank you for the feedback!

We balanced how much light you got so that it really feels like you're collaborating with the AI most of the time rather than being fully in control yourself. That was our goal with this theme.

We also would have most certainly loved adding more juice to every aspect of the game; but even the drawing cards animation was added in the very last hour of the jam. :D
