This feels like a Ted Chiang short story

I love the whole aesthetic & the vibes this game gives. Its like a work of art that tells a story, respect all around.

I have to stop at a certain point though, coz my luck ran out, but I really wanna know whats up there, if someone can kindly spoil me, whats on the top floor hehe

Otherwise, really really great job!

I decided to stop on floor 40. I enjoyed the variety of floors and reading what the people on each floor would say.

Peculiarily interesting "adventure" game.
simple yet addictive enough to read all the stories the NPC had.
The Ice cream vendor was hilarious :D

This is really interesting!

On one hand the tower's rooms are filled with weird and funny characters and interactions, which I crave to see more of. On the other the game actively tries to stop you from seeing it all, the dice rolls on each level are lenghty, but more importantly your chances of even getting to the next floor are getting lower the higher you go. (I have to admit here that I haven't finished the game, so this is my assumtion, that you get a roll from 1 to 100 no matter the floor)

Your goal is to climb a mysterious tower, and your main obstacle in doing so isn't some monster or even clever puzzle, but a pure improbability of consecutively getting through 100 doors.

I can imagine someone like Borges could have depicted a similiar structure. This is art (no irony intended).

Neat concept, I love the visuals, the sound effects are great but the gameplay wasn't engaging.

I reached around floor 27, and stopped. It wasn't fun reaching that point.

At least every room does look very unique with its own characters, so there is that to look forward to when going up the tower.

The game gets extra points in my book for having cats, and overall, great job on your game!

Nice little game. It's not often that you see story-driven games during game jams, and after being immersed for a bit I've found it relaxing and enjoyable to explore this tiny world and learn about the characters. I also enjoyed the simple color palettes and nice pixel art. Unfortunately, I got softlocked at floor 23, and the "roll dice to open door" mechanic is, in my opinion, unnecessary and sometimes a bit frustrating.
