Love the concept, definitely very different from most submissions for this jam!

As much as i love the art style, the unlit shading makes it very difficult to find the berries. maybe the berries could use a different shader or the player could have some sort of map/berry detection device with beeps if your close?

Very nice overall though!

Developer

Yeah, we had planned to mark the berries on the minimap with icons for the different seasons, I think that would have helped but we didn't have time. Now it's difficult to know where the berries are without wandering around for a while.

Cool game, but the resolution of the render to texture for the map is far too low, and you can't really see anything, due to the lack of shading.

I really enjoy the map changing randomly! And the overall art style was cute. I found myself getting stuck occasionally though. I think more visual and audio clues would give the player some idea whats happening. Things like different footprint sounds for different terrain etc. But of course, this is a game jam and time is very much of the essence. I also found the mouse panning speed quite slow. Cute game though! I did enjoy wandering around the map <3

Game looks great, and while I enjoy exploring, I never really figured out where the berries were. One thing I didn't understand was why there were three inventory slots for your food -- is there any advantage to holding onto them instead of just eating the food you get immediately?

Developer

Originally we had planned that you could craft better food at the tent hence the 3 inventory slot but we didn't have time for it. So you're right, there's no advantage to hold on to it.

Super creative idea! Definitely gives nintendos design vibes!! love your work :)

Very cool game! I like that each season changes how you can traverse the map, though sometimes i was stuck in a region of the map for a bit until the next season.

Cool concept, I think it just needs some more polish on the collision detection. I like the use of the different seasons to change the map, that's a neat idea.  I like the artstyle a lot, reminds me of animal crossing.

Damn i got stuck alot. But i spend at least 15 minutes to try figuring out, how to get better. I think mapknowledge is the key. My second run was much better than my first. Well done. One of the prettiest so far!

I really like how the level changes through time and how you can interact with it differently! Very nice and quite complex game for a 48h jam!

love the looks especially the color composition! felt peaceful 🍃

Cool idea and the game looks great! Though sometimes the season would switch and I would get stuck and have to wait till the next season.

The idea is cool. But I somehow showed up in a location I couldn't get out of(

Fun concept!

Winter Season Best Season! Nice game and great looks, felt a little weird how you couldn't walk upwards or through some clearly passable terrain
