You did a great job for your first jam!

More level would be nice! In my first jams, i also didn’t put music or sound too, but, with the time, i learned how it contributes for the final result.

here is a great free online random sound generator for when you need it: sfxr

Sweet and short puzzle game. Puzzles were sadly a bit too easy.

Developer

thanks for playing! yeah, i guess they are :D
i have some ideas to diversify gameplay a bit and how to make some more complicated levels.

This is genius!

The art is perfectly minimalist, the concept nails the theme and twist, and the puzzles are designed with careful attention to detail in mind.

I love the clever story and title.

Awesome work!

Simple, elaborate, and easy to understand mechanics and concept! Really fits with the limitation also!

I like how it can be complex to solve the puzzles if you flipped the wrong switches! Great game and congrats!

thanks for the heads up, i've noted that and will hopefully fix it with the next version.
since i got so much positive feedback on the concept, and i do like myself, too. i'm planning on turning this into a real game i think.
i've already got some interesting ideas how to expand the gameplay.

Nice! I like the story, too. The only things I would tweak are to increase the player speed and to make the physics material friction 0. (The latter is probably Unity's fault for making the default friction nonzero because this is the third Unity game I've seen so far with collisions like this)

The difficulty curve is quite smooth (or as smooth as it can be with 3 levels), too.

thanks for the feedback!
yeah you're right about the friction thing. i noticed that you get stuck on the walls while playtesting but forgot about it later.
wasn't much of a priority i guess :)

This was actually really competent! You avoid the shadows, because if you flip the wrong light switch in the wrong locationg, you flash yourself! The third level is your best stuff, and I liked how the player is naturally taught how to flip the switches correctly.

Of course music, SFX, graphics could be improved, but the work of the shadows and the simplicity of the level made up for that in spades. Good job!

NOW THIS is a clever puzzle game. Very original.  Being able to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel was useful feature. Great incorporation of limitation too!

It introduces the concept gently, but the third level is enough to make you scratch your chin and gave me a couple AHA moments.

Giving players a feeling of competence is one of the most important  and challenging things you do w/ game design in my opinion, and this game does it superbly.

Developer

thank you very much for the kind words!
much appreciated!

The idea for a puzzle game it’s brilliant! It’s very original. You could improve it easily adding sounds (little effort but great benefits). Some background music could add a nice touch too. Personally I find the text a bit hard to read, but hey, maybe I’m just old. Keep it up!

Developer

hey! thanks for the feedback! yeah i figure sound /music would be nice. didnt have much time for that, though :D. regarding the text: do you mean like the skewing makes it hard to read? or is it more because of the size/resolution or just the font?

Submitted

I mean the size of the text, it was to tiny for me.

Developer

ok, thanks. did you play in browser or downloaded it? if the latter what resolution is your screen?

Submitted (1 edit)

I played it on the browser, 1440x900 resolution. But, with other games normally I don’t have issues with font sizes.
