Hi! We played your game on stream and really enjoyed it!

(1 edit)

Fun game w/ cute art style and character designs

(1 edit)

The game could do with some controller (can't do keyboard personally) remapping options. As is, I feel like I can't play to full effectiveness because of weird action placement. Also, the option to use the D-Pad would be appreciated. This isn't a game that suits the analog stick.

maxed out everything lol. actually cracked. i mean im trash but-

rip

I WAS ABOUT TO WIN NOO

Does the game end after a block touches the top of me (the frog)? Also, fun frog action platformer!

both

I just love the dead frog messages, and no, I did not die on purpose, it just took me while to understand the game

cute

I'm wondering how i play with 2 people? I can see it in the menu but I cant figure out how to do it with a second player

I think the multiplayer menu is by default on PICO-8 (The tool we use to create the game) but we don't support it sorry :(

Wanted to like it, but I just found the controls unusably frustrating. Could we have options for what keys jump and lick?

You can press UP+Z to swap the jump and lick buttons, if it worked you should hear a sound confirming it.

Had more fun with this game than I expected to! It's cool that the unlockable characters aren't just reskins. I do agree with the other commentor that things are too slow at the start, but overall the game is great

I love this game. Only issue is that it feels like a PICO-8 game... because it is one. But if it ever gets a remake with more refined controls, and maybe some kind of multiple-lives system so I don't have to restart from one mistake, I would totally buy that.

Really appreciate the unique twist on one of my favorite games.

You are in luck we are working on a sequel for Playdate :), you can learn more at our devlog

Uh... That thing's in B/W and has no backlight, so it'd be impossible for me to see, and its control scheme is horrid. I wish you luck with it though, I guess...

This game could use a method to make blocks fall faster. The early levels are a slog but then it gets really good.

Whew, just got 50 rows

Three lines, one for each child I left behind.

23 rows and then i died ;(

oh no :(

whats the diff from the splore version?

It should be the same version! if it's not let us know :)

Just curious then, what is the point of selling it?

It's for people who don't have PICO-8 and want a stand alone executable

ahh, good point

I love the sprite work and lil animations they're super cute! Took me a second to get the hang of the game but now that I have I'm hooked. Other ppl have already said that not being able to push blocks onto the far sides is annoying  and that the beginning phase of the game can be quite slow, I also don't think Simon is very fun to play as since his jump height is way too short, but thankfully I can still play as frog. Can't wait to see how you improve on the sequel, I'll be sure to keep a keen eye on your socials! :)

Thanks for playing !

I started out unsure but over time it all slowly clicked into place and I was hooked. I feel like the pace at the very beginning is a bit too slow for just starting out, when I first started I was confused because the blocks were falling so slowly I thought I was supposed to be doing stuff in between that, and when a game first starts out theres not much you can do. Would love to see a pullfrog 2

Glad you like the game! thanks for playing. You can follow the progress on the sequel following us in Twitter https://twitter.com/amanogames_

Oh, I'm glad Tetris games were not banned in the Ukraine bundle.

Awesome :D

Great idea and great presentation but it's not ideal that pulling blocks is kind of awkward and limited (e.g. can't move blocks to the edges, and often end up slightly too close to a block so the pull fails) compared to sitting around just smashing appropriate blocks which is easy but less interesting.

I suggest allowing pulling at close range to just shift you back a space, and giving a few frames of leeway to pull a block after it makes contact with the ground (like in real Tetris).

Not sure what could be done about the edges without allowing either pushing, or player movement outside the play field. Maybe just have the block spawning system cheat for you by generating additional edge blocks where needed (if you're not already doing so)?

the froggo animations are so subtle and satisfying and damn, i've never thought of making particles that small, it worked really well

Nicely done! I have an idea for your game. What if you can purchase cosmetic skins for your frog. Or you can get the points need to purchase

Sorry to ask you something like that. I found your game original & i was curious how much sales did you make on itch ? Are you planning a steam release ?

We are currently working on the sequel to this game for Playdate

You can follow the development on our devlog.

And a youtube video recently made a breakdown on how much a PICO-8 game makes. We shared our data for the video so you can check it out how much we have made there.

Good luck for your release.
