What was the most challenging part of making your entry?
All of the enemy animations and behavior scripts, also keeping the game difficult but also not overwhelming.

What was the most fun part?
I had the most fun just proving to myself that I could do something like this. As an 18 year old with only four years of experience and only one commercial release (coming this spring) to my name I definitely was low on confidence going into this but I'm just super impressed with my work.

Anything else to add? (important controls, assets used, special mentions, etc)
Controls: Click to perform a dash to your cursor, attacking any enemies in your path. (Tip: Click behind the enemy to slice through it, clicking on it may cause you to stop early and not get the kill.) Check out the store page for info on the enemy types! Shoutouts to my composer itsrot, you have always been there to drop some sick beats and be a great friend.

loved the art on the game it all mixed very well. The game play was fast and easy to figure out a enjoyable game.

This was soo much fun! I love the feel of slicing through the enemies, the controls are also quite unique but also easy to handle, so very easy to pick up and just play!

Also very nice polish for 48 hours, I love that I was able to compare my high score! This is definitely one of the best games I've played on this jam :D

Developer

Thank you so much for the comment! This is my first go at a game jam and I'm so glad that you found it fun!

This was super cool, I think it might even be one of my favorite games of the Jam! I love the simple concept, and it feels so satisfying to go flying across the screen killing hoards of baddies.

This is a Jam game that I would really like to see expand into something bigger, if you want to continue developing it.

My best attempt had a score of 81. Great job with this game! :D

Developer(+1)

I'm so glad you enjoyed playing thru it! (Fabulous high score btw) I'm certainly looking at expanding this into a fleshed out release, this jam has given me quite the confidence boost, so thanks a lot for that!

I'm so glad that this jam has helped to boost your game design confidence. I would say that the boost is well deserved! :)

If you expand upon the release and need a playtester, feel free to send me a message. I would be happy to help out.

Developer(+1)

I will surely be in touch if it gets expanded, thanks so much for the offer!

This was a great idea. Once I got a handle on the attacking mechanics, they felt really nice. I could definitely see this being expanded to something more with a bit more time being put into it! I really enjoyed the music too! Great work!

Developer

Thanks a million for the review James! Hearing one of my developer role models compliment my work is truly inspiring! Also I'll be sure to tell my friend u were a fan of her music!

I had a blast playing it!

It was rather interesting on how you mix up the creatures when you slain them. I aimed to get a slime since they double the drop of enemies but ironically they were the hardest ones since they attacked in a circle.

One weird bug I found while dashing, was that I got stuck on the wall on the bottom right.

The music, the visuals and game play where really great. I replayed it a lot.

Overall I really liked the game.

You topped my high score!!!! I'm so glad you had fun, I do know what bug ur talking about, I've continued working on this game this week to see if I want to expand it into a full release (which I think I do) and have since patched it out.

Submitted(+1)

I will be looking forward for your full release. It was actually fun. There is this game that I played a while ago that you could get a bit of inspiration for your game. Its name is "Vampire Survivors". There are a couple of YouTube videos about it.

Honestly, your game has potential.

Easy game to play but hard to master. Could just get a score of 14!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it.

Top down street fighter with Little Red Riding Hood fighting sewer monsters.

Developer(+1)

If someone beats my personal high score of 125 hmu!

Submitted(+1)

Once you work out you need to slide into the monsters it's good fun. Well done.

Yo, nice game. Have been struggling with the same problem that CodeWarrior had. Its hard to figure

out on your own haha. Other than that it is, indeed, impressive.

Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

check the tip on the store page controls section, its a shame I didn't have time to make a tutorial to explain it but I'd check that out to help make the play experience more fun for ya!

Looks pretty cool, but doesn't seem to register hits correctly.  I can kill one monster and then MAYBE the same type again, but typically I am just swinging and missing...so maybe I might be missing something, if others can actually kill the enemies.  Also seems to require you to be distant from the enemy...too close and it doesn't register the hit...maybe that's the point?

Developer(+2)

You need to click behind the monster to slide thru it, if you click on it you will be prone to stopping early.

Yeah, cool.  Thanks for telling me how to play, I like it a lot.  Best score so far 32 :(
