Sorry I can't see how I send a private message on Itch - am I being stupid ? !

I tried to contact via Discord (dominiauk#6893) as well.

Thanks,

I thought it was only me who missed starting the game ! Finally spotted the new game after a few minutes trying all the keys! Fun little game. Great work.

Thanks, much appreciated. It was a struggle trying to get it done in time and had to cut a lot of ideas / features. I'm still learning how to work my time on these Game Jams (my second one), getting better but a long way to go!

Thanks for you comments. The windows version is much better, I think the graphics are a bit much for WebGL. The aim really is getting the highest score before your dungeon falls or you run out of tiles. I had so many more ideas to put in (like monster lairs etc) but time went much quicker than I'd hoped!

I'm really not very good at this, couldn't make the first air jump. I'll come back and give it another go later!

Not my sort of game really but looks interesting if you like platform games. Like how you did the art and intro.

Nice little click shooter, quite hard or I'm just not good at it! :-)

Hi, I've uploaded my Jam Game, it's available in WebGL and Windows.

Hope you enjoy it,

I've updated Siege Dungeon to fix a few issues around the problems from the comments.

  • Fixed the slowdown that happens from around room 30, should now handle very large dungeons after fixing the path finding. (stupid bug!)
  • Fixed the crash when adding rooms to certain invalid locations
  • Fixed the scroll directions (reversed as many people requested)

Thanks for everyone who gave the game a go, let me know if you see any other issues.

Thanks for playing the game, please let me know if you find any more issues!

Updated to fix the slowdown that happens from around room 30. Also fixed crash that occurred when room was added to certain invalid locations.

I've managed to fix the bugs now. Problem with my pathfinding mainly, causing a slow down and other issues. I was waiting for the rating  phase to complete before uploading the fix as wasn't sure if I was allowed to fix it at this stage! It is my first jam so this is all new to me. Thanks for giving it a go :-)

Nice retro blaster game, reminds me of the days visiting the local arcade! Nice.

Nice little game, fun to play. Confused me a bit at first but soon got the hang of it!

Really impressive and highly polished game. Nice game!

Nice game, relaxing to play

Liked the twist on the breakout game. Added a extra element which I found to make it more engaging. Good Game.

Thanks for your comments and giving the game a go. Yes the performance is an issue that I intend to resolve (down to my pathfinding mainly). The windows version should perform better but will still get hit by the pathfinding issue, just a little later.  Thanks again.

Interesting and good interpretation of the theme. I'd love to see this taken further with maybe an AI player where you have a set of shared body parts and you grab what you want before the other player does and then race your creations :-)

Thanks for your comments, hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks, I just needed double the time I think! Or maybe next time not attempt to do a Jam solo. Good learning experience for me. Thanks again.

Thanks for your comments. Yes that's some good ideas. I did want to add traps and even doors (which the adventurers have to knock down) to make it a bit more interesting but I struggled with time a bit on this. It was my first jam and I misjudged the time the UI would take along with the adding in the bits like music/sound etc. I certainly learned a lot from doing this however!

Thanks for your comments. Yes it does need a lot of optimisation work. I'd quite like to do a more polished version in the future if people would play it. I'd like to add more room types, monsters, traps etc. Thanks again.

Thanks for giving this a go. There was so many things I had planned to add to the game, such as traps etc. However time was definitely against me!

Thanks for giving it a go. The lag is mainly down to my badly optimised pathfinding. I think the more adventurers that come into play causes quite an issue, that and the combination of more rooms.  I need to learn A* for next time!

Interesting puzzle game that was entertaining. Love the animal names!

Super cute game. I was a bit confused at the start but soon got the hang of it. Lovely art work and love how the music adds so much to this game.

Interesting, I was more interested in what combinations did what rather than the combat part. Maybe something different after the mixing? Very polished gameplay.

Good Graphics and game seems fine but I struggled to play it as the controls / camera were so sensitive it made it difficult. With some fine turning in that area it should be good to go!

I think maybe using the mouse to scroll around would be better. I just didn't have the time to implement that as I also wanted to use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out also.

Thanks for the comments. I think the slowdown is due to my pathfinding later in the game when there are a lot of rooms. I had wanted to use A* but due to time (having to learn A*) and doing this solo I went for my own version which isn't very optimal!

Fun game. Nice.

Once you work out you need to slide into the monsters it's good fun. Well done.

Sorry forgot to say in the description, credits are in the game menu.

Good work, like the physics and style. Well done.

Like the twist !
