You've really captured the essence of the original so well here, and the feeling that comes along with it. I especially love those chords you have coming in at 2:10, although I can't think what instrument that is!

Description
The idea behind this cover was to take a track that was fully created using synthesized instruments (presumably a SNES soundchip?), and recreate it with as many organic instruments as possible. I recorded direct-in to Logic X Pro, starting with the main arpeggiated part on nylon-string guitar. Then, I added the bass guitar and percussion to lay down the groove, and built it out from there.
My favorite part is Patrick Shiroishi's saxophone playing, which (literally) breathes life and emotion into the whole thing. I'm also pretty fond of my whisper-beatboxed percussion ;)
