Welp, this is probably my top game for the jam. No, for real. I spent so much time on this. I completed a 350 and loved it. A few wishes though:

  • Some way to export, save, or otherwise share your finished screens. They're really cool looking!
  • A subtle highlight when hovering an unmatched dot. This would help fishing out those pesky final pieces
  • An optional 'assist mode' that highlights potential matches while you're holding the end of the other side

I think those three could turn this from a 'chaotic' jam game into a relaxing tablet experience for casual gamers or those that enjoy color by numbers at the likes. Seriously. Port this to android/ios, charge a buck. I can't imagine this not appealing to lots of folks. It's a very zen experience. Super well done!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really happy that you enjoyed it as much as you did ^^
Those are some great additions! I'll definitely add those once I get to update it.
I would love to port this to mobile. Hopefully, I'll find a way to make it work :)
Thanks again!

i like the innovation and the idea but have some problem with it such the colors are not so obvious for the player to see and for the blind color one? even worse...but its not a big problem...the big problem is what you want to show with your game? even without any purpose and experimental gaming i dont get the sense...but i like the way you look to the theme.

Hi there, could you elaborate on the specific palettes you had problems with? Some of the palettes are meant to be harder than others. We tried to also include a set of very easy palettes, such as the neon ones. If you are still having difficulties, turning the CRT filter off might also help for easier distinguishability of the different colors.
As for the purpose,  like you said, the game doesn't really have one. It's meant to be a short and casual timewaster while doing something on the other monitor.

neonic thing are good or pallet like black and yellow that have good look for the eyes

I see, I'll keep that in mind :)

How are garbage games receive 100+ ratings, but this gem only has 4?

Really cool!

I think it would be better with more distinct colors, and possibly with more modern = less distracting look.

Dots of similar sizes can be hard to distinguish. One way to fix this would be to make them of different shapes (squares, hexes, circles, etc.).

Another thing, already connected lines should always be behind unconnected points: I had a case when a line completely covered a point underneath it, and if I were not careful enough to notice it, and connect that dot with something, I would have super hard time finding it later.

Thank you so much for the nice words!

I really like that idea! The different shaped dots would definitely fix a lot of the issues we've had ^^'

That is actually already implemented! The dots are drawn on top of the lines. I think the issue you encountered is when the line and the dot is the same color. In that case they are impossible to tell apart when they are on top of one another. We tried solving this by drawing a white ring around the dots, but it just didn't fit the game. Let me know if you have a better solution to the problem!

Quite possibly

I'd try to go hardcore-algorithmic mode and try to put dots in such places, so that no matter how player connects them, there are no dots lying on the lines, so the problem would not even exist.

Developer(+1)

That actually not a bad idea. I'll write it down and hopefully get it implemented if I ever return to the project. Thank you!

Simple but very enjoyable, Nice game !  It so good you let me choose the difficulty by myself so the game won't gets too CHAOTIC for me XD

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^^ Yeah, I'm glad we got to implement that ,:D We luckily noticed early on that 350 pairs took way too long to clear.

The art and audio is very good!

Developer

Thank you so much! It means a lot ^^

I'm surprised how polished this game is with its nice background audio and refined UI animations. I guess going for a simple idea gives you more time to do that but overall I think this is a solid little game. Good luck with the jam, I think you'll get some good ratings.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, the minimalistic nature of the game really helped us get a more polished product out. We decided to scope for less because of previous jams where we totally overscoped ,:) I appreciate it, good luck to you as well!

Very much a vibe game. Sometimes hard to tell what you need to connect to but still a cool concept.

Developer

That is definitely a valid point. Thank you so much for the feedback! ^^
