Awesome game, love the start menu, very creative! The screen gets very chaotic very quickly, but I'll assume that it is by design. I feel like a punishment for holding down space for too long at a time would've been nice. All in all though, great game!

Fun bug: I died and it shows me the "you survived", but the cycles keep counting, so I can get a high score without doing anything haha.

I understand you were just trying to get the game out the door, so no biggies, but that "restart" button after death would be a huge QOL thing.

The principle of the game is neat, but is definitely a coop game or a single player hardcore game. Not a bad thing; definitely an interesting mechanic that you don't see very often to have the complex gameplay.

Neat game! Nice job.

I am embarrassed at how long it took me to figure out what the intro screen was showing me.  I kept moving just one ship.  Once I figured it out, though, I think it was a really clever way to get the player used to the controls.   Kept me safe from the enemies while I got the keys sorted out.

I loved the music and sound effects.  Together, they created a really energetic vibe.  Controlling two ships as one person got crazy so quickly.  I'd love a way to swap between them in a one-player mode.

Also, the different colors bullets impacting the different ships was unique.  Took me a minute to get the hang of what was going on, but it's a neat idea.

If I could add any feature to this, it'd be some feedback information on the health of the players and enemies and maybe a sun/moon bomb to wipe out the whole screen of baddies.

Great work on this!

This was surprisingly difficult, but I really enjoyed it. Was a bit confused at first, but after I restarted the game I figured it out pretty quickly. There were a few quality of life things I'd like to point out: the game doesn't restart after you lose, with no way to restart it (unless there was some other button I had to press?), the audio in later waves got SUPER loud when there's like 9 enemies on screen all shooting at the same time, and it's a bit confusing to figure out the controls when the 2 ships swap sides of the screen. I think with a bit of tweaking to the timing between waves (more enemies spawn even when you didn't clear the current wave), and some better AI (the enemies like to clump together, so it becomes nearly impossible to hit them), and some feedback on health (maybe scaling ship sizes to signify remaining health or something?) this would be really great. I honestly would love to play this co-op with someone, probably until I get mad at them for dying all the time ;)

Yeah, I outscoped a bit and had to cut down on QOL stuff just to get the game out the door. I may make an update adding hit VFX and and the reset stuff

Fun little game! It took me a second to figure out how to start the enemy waves, but once I understood, it was genius! Getting the ships in place was a really cool way to teach the player about movement and transition right into gameplay. Also really liked the spacey art style. That, paired with your audio, gave off a great retro arcade gaming vibe. I liked it. Only thing I would've wanted to see is a single player mode (maybe I just couldn't find it?). The co-op approach is really fun, but trying to control both at the same time without a partner was a bit tricky for me. Aside from that, the difficulty progression felt very well thought out - started slow so I could feel out the game, then you introduced more complex enemies with new waves. Overall, great work!
