I really really wish you didn't add any screenshots from the Unity section to really sell it. Imagine playing what you think is a normal RPG Maker game and suddenly Unity opens up. I couldn't figure out where to go and kept dying to the big red slime, but that transition to Unity after the intro is insane.

Haha Thanks DJ, and thanks for playing! This jam was a lot of fun, loved your entry :) This game was just me messing around with nw.js packages, but keeping it a surprise would have been hilarious!

Played this today, a few thoughts:

1) I really wish I could save. I'm not as agile as I used to be, and I died in the first area. Redoing the intro was not that fun honestly.

2) I have no idea what to do once I go to the other world. Do I just kill everything? Some sort of guidance would be nice.

3) Game hung after I killed all the slimes. Got a message talking about is this my world now, but never advanced.

Thanks for playing bgillisp! That was the end actually, I didn't finish the entry in time unfortunately (also why there was no sound haha). I am going to make sure for my next games to allow players to either restart from after the cutscenes and/or implement saving for sure, that is definitely a long cut scene to have to watch twice!!

I need more stars for creativity. Getting Unity to pop up after completing the RPG Maker part is nothing short of impressive. The story was nice too, very heartfelt with good atmosphere.

Thanks so much KV! This was a fun project to work on. I really wanted to test connecting engines without breaking EULAs haha :) Thanks for checking it out!!

Whoa you got me with that turn in the middle. Pretty awesome! The music and tone setting in the beginning was really good. Really emotional storytelling despite the short time. And we got to see the origin of spark and heal!!

Fun gameplay too, although I admit I died from the very first proto creature touching me and had to rewatch all the cutscenes (a little autosave would have been nice there). For a last minute thing, this was a great submission!

Thanks for playing Human! Thanks for hosting the Harold jam for a second year!

Definitely! I'm going to make sure to have a spot to save or skip cut scenes from now on. I can imagine how annoying it would be if one were to die a few times and always have to rewatch everything.

Thanks again, much appreciated!

When engines collide!

Nice job merging RPGM and Unity into one title, it was fun blasting slimes FPS-style.

Like in Heralded (which I really liked), you have a knack for picking great music and creating a vibe.

One small critique: the SE volumes on the cutscene animations were super loud compared to the piano melody, just about knocked me out of my chair :)

Thank you very much for playing! Thanks for the feedback :) I will make sure those sound effects are mixed better in the future. I am very happy to hear you enjoyed Heralded from the first jam, I've always thought that it would be nice to expand on that story (maybe someday with all new characters).  :) It is awesome to hear you had fun playing Sparking unity, I really hope to provide a better experience next time since much of this game was unfinished, cut out, and/or unpolished at submission time. I'm very much looking forward to playing Haroldry: Reloaded! It was really cool to see a sequel to Haroldry pop up in the submissions! Thanks again 3b48!

Slime : 0 - Harold : 14
Nice execution and balance! After a few tries only we can win!
Since I'm a big fan of Shooter games, it's a big Yes!

The environment in the Shooter part is well done! We have trees, rocks, and it's not a boring plain!
Love the idea!

Thanks Manu! I don't think I would have even had a submission if it wasn't for your motivation!
