What do you mean by much? Do you think $ 700 is much? I don't understand.
Yes, what do you mean by much? $700 is very little for all the work they put into it. I bet if I payed you Metal Knight $700 you can't even make a game as good as Burnin Rubber 3 let alone 4. Xform is really charging less than normal for a game like this. I would have thought this game would cost $9.99, but we are getting it for $4.99 which is VERY Cheap and affordable! Metal Knight, how about you try making Burnin Rubber 4 yourself and you can have it free that way. It cost Xform a lot of time and knowledge to make the game and make the standalone.
Firstly, XForm is not a one man. It's a company, so if I would have a company, 700$ and that engine i COULD have maked Burnin' Rubber 3. But the point is not that, where are the ACTUAL games? Standalone, remaster, HD, when the company has already enough money for atleast one actual game? That was my message. And yes:

PLEASE, you have ALOT of bugs. Fix em:
-Docks collision is made lazy, nitro and jumping can get you in water and you will not respawn on land.
-When you replace ANY game model it crashes.
-Loadings are WAY TOO long.
Sure, but they are a small company. That means each person gets a fraction of $700. Each person gets even less than $700 you understand? You could have "maked" Burnin Rubber 3? Adobe Director cost already around $800 or more plus you need 3ds Max which also costs hundreds of dollars. Also, they need computers to make the game which cost thousands of dollars. I think they don't really make much money. If you think they are too expensive, like I said, you try making Burnin Rubber 4 yourself and you can have it free.
I already said, XForm ALREADY has 3DS Max, Adboe Director, computers, people. This is part 4, part 3 was already on Director and had alot of same models. Get my point?
But actually my point is:Why are they still making remasters/remakes of old games? Burnin' Rubber 3,4,5HD and other. They should already have enough money to make a new game, not a remaster.
Why? It is because we still like the older games and want to play them again. Xform is doing this for us unlike pretty much all other shockwave director game companies who just forget their games and leave them lost forever.
You didn't got my point. They already did alot of remakes and remasters, but when will they do a ACTUAL game again? They already have money, they are done with remakes (except burnin rubber 4, it's filled with bugs.), they can actually make a new game. Not a remake. I hope they will.
Well, this became a lot of text. I just tried to explain my point of view (not facts) as comprehensible as possible. Here's the short version:
A company has to pay for many things.
If we had a teen coding prodigy that lived at his parent's house with powerful hard- and software and a budget of 700$, then that would be a completely different thing, so I can see where your point of view comes from.
But the 'company' part is one example for why that would not be much, since a company doesn't just have money lying around, they earn it themselves. Xform produces videogames, therefore they earn money by selling games.
If you now consider at least payment for the people that work at xform, rent for an office (I assume they don't work at home) and possible maintenance or upgrade costs for PCs and workplace those 700$ unfortunately are far from lasting you even one month of work. Plus there is always some costs that you cannot expect in advance. Payments like those are not a one-time purchase, but rather a monthly investment to keep your business from bankruptcy. For a buisness, espacially a small one, the term "enough money" doesn't really exist.
I assume that BR3 and 4 were only able to be free in the first place because of advertisement revenue by the websites thatpublished the games. Seriously, 5$ is not exactly much and personally I don't have trouble justifying the price.
Also the re-releases (not reMAKES, that is a huge difference (exept BR5, which is a remake)) were a 'side project' for the fans that were asking, and it would surprise me if xform hadn't started already on collecting ideas and started designing their next main release title, so don't really worry about that.
You STILL don't understand my point.
They already have a office, they already earned ALOT of money to make a new game, and not remake/rerelease/update a random game they made. And as you can see, i've never seen anything from this company except Super Man or Monster and some remakes/rereleases of mysterious games. And my point is:When will they make a new GAME? When will they finally stop remaking/rereleasing?
Yes, i meant 700$ is kinda much. I mean, those games were online and yep, remastered. But 700$ is already enough to make atleast 1 new game/something what do you do. I hope you are a company that didn't wasted those 700$ instantly.

1 You have to share the profits, To survive you need money They share the money, and believe me it's not so much
2 They are saved in case of emergency, in case this happens again, or something greater OR staying bankrupt
3 years of experience in free games, And do not win anything, I think it's a good opportunity to take out the game.

From 2007 - 2018 all the free games, and I do not know how they survive to not eat
Shockwave.com gives money to Xform, and Xform supports Shockwave.com by being on the site and promoting it sometimes (i.e Billboards or Bullet 350's skin for the opponents in Easy Street.) Now that Adobe Shockwave is not supported for browsers, we have to pay in order to play and support Xform for their next works. Who knows, maybe from all these earnings that they can create something even better!

Stop thinking like they don't have a second job and Nickelodeon didn't payed them to make games. 700$ is a minimum what they got for Burnin Rubber 5 HD and Burnin Rubber 3.
But to the distribution the money is not that amount is much smaller, How could they earn $ 50
You might have misunderstood what Propane Guy was trying to say, I hope I can clearify it:
1: shockwave.com had the game on their site to play
-> there are advertisements on the website
-> more people see the ads, more money for xform
2: games made with adobe shockwave cannot be played anymore
-> people cant play the games
-> they dont see ads (because they took the game from the site)
-> no more money for xform
