Simple, challenging and so fun!

That's such a creative way to interpret the theme! Awesome game, hard but balanced.

Visually and sound quality-wise this has been the most put-together game I've run into so far this jam! This really feels really cohesive and the dialogues are hilarious. I do agree with a previous comment saying the nature of order-taking games makes you feel like you don't have time to read, but it seems like it doesn't punish you for taking your time to read either. It does feel very repetitive at the moment because there's  not much variety, but it looks like this is a really solid foundation to add more to after the jam.

Great job!

Thank you for the thoughtful comment - we truly appreciate it! It's true there is no punishment for taking your time, and unfortunately we were only able to get 4 customers in. We definitely have plans to expand on this one, there are technically 64 item recipes programmed into it, just only 4 used by orders from customers (However you can craft the other recipes if you stumble upon them). We will be adding more customers, and more variety, including a second minigame for adding the magical aspects to a basic weapon recipe which we had to cut early on to make sure we had time for 1 relatively polished minigame. Thanks again for the feedback!

I think that's a really unique idea! I really liked the gameplay tho it was a bit too hard for me because I have pretty bad reaction time :P Overall I really liked it!

Thank you for the feedback - we tried to add visual scaling and sound cues to make the timing easier, but we did note that it is still a little difficult, even for ourselves lol! The game does slow down the cycling speed as you let it play, eventually it will force a failure - but we do intend to reconsider a way to make the matching a little easier, even if it's some tricky psychological thing, like "coyote time" - or basically a tolerance on the correct symbol.

Nice game! I like the cooking game style of having to make different weapons!

I like the differences this has with it though, where you need to memorize the items needed and then play a little minigame to get the item crafted.

I didn't read much of the dialogues, since it felt bad to use my time reading them when I should be doing orders quickly, since most games similar to this have factors of how quickly you can complete an order.

The minigame of creating the weapon is a bit difficult, needing some really good reflexes for it. I also see potential for other types of crafting minigames depending on the items used.

One thing that I thought of which could be cool, is if some weapns / tools take a much longer time to make than others. So you have to make multiple smaller weapons for others, while also trying to make the bigger one.

The music and art was great! I especially liked the theme for when you are forging!

Thank you so much for the kind comments! We did notice that people had difficulty locating the recipes on the dialog, and that they felt they were being timed. Currently there is no punishment for taking your time, but it was part of the original design, which is why it probably feels that way. Taking note of your feedback, I think we'll end up adding a timer, incorporating time to the score, but also pausing that timer when reading dialog - that should give players a chance to enjoy the dialog and "chill" for a minute. We have seen comments and noticed ourselves that the matching can be difficult, even after trying to add visual and audio cues - so we will definitely be taking that back to the drawing board a bit. I like the idea of some items taking longer - we were talking about a second minigame for the magical portion of the crafting, but had to cut it for time - we will be revisiting this one in the future though. Thanks again for the feedback - cheers!

This was really good! I enjoyed the music, the slot machine mechanic and the artwork. It froze up on my third play, and I couldn't get to my supply.

Developer

Thank you for letting us know about the freeze - let us know if you get any additional info on it. We intend to revisit this and already logged a couple bugs we may have to investigate.
