I felt like the visuals were so smooth and polished, and all the effects felt really well done. this made things like chaining feel really fun, so great job on that!!!

This was really awesome!!!!! i loved the character designs a lot, and there were so many! every time another one popped up, i was surprised at how unique they all were. I had to stop because of a crash, but i think the visuals and style of this were amazing. great job!

The vibes were immaculate, this transported me back to playing bejewled 2 on my mom's ipad. I loved the graphics and music a lot, and the menu curving to show you your last scoring blocks was awesome. the choice to have the gameplay be physically simulated, while unique, did have a feeling of sluggishness, but it kinda added to the vibe. great job!!!

I really enjoyed this! the dialogue was cute and i liked the different characters' attacks. great job!

was pretty dang fun, and an interesting way to try and take what happens in puyo and put it into a different context. it would have been cool to have the falling rocks have more puyo-like mechanics, like having colors that could match and change the terrain, but good job!!

I really liked the idea, working with the ai instead of it being a versus thing, which is a simple but very effective way of changing the way you approach the game, and making that ai well like you did is an impressive feat in a month!

great job!!! this was a really cool take on the theme. totally out there and really changing the mechanics of teh game but preserving the idea.

While it can be a bit hard to parse, the visual style is really unique and i think fits this type of game really well, plus it's just really lovely to look at. the going up mechanic is interesting, and a unique way of introducing a risk/reward mechanic to the game.

this was really fun! i'm really impressed by all the modelling and animations. it's very charming, and the beetle's varied attacks were all really interesting. great job!!

honestly this was really awesome and fun to play, i had a blast with this. the animations were really satisfying, popping and chaining felt really great.

dang, this is like crazy polished for a month long jam. this is super impressive!!! the visuals are fun, and the ai was amazingly done. my only gripe is sometimes the animations felt like they delayed my ability to have fast inputs, but the only reason i bring that up is because the rest of the game was so stellar. great job!

oh my god the visuals and sound are really great!!! loved what you had here, even if you say its only a small portion of what you were planning.

I really liked the art and music, honestly the vibes are immaculate. would love to see what this looks like if it reaches beyond the prototype stage!

the art is super adorable! the overall vibes were super cute. I'm experiencing the same troubles in terms of gameplay as the other commenters, but I can see that you want to fix the issues. So cute!!

Was very chill! a vibe I hadn't usually felt in the context of these types of games, so that was interesting. the music was lovely, and i enjoyed the writing as well.

We had a generic item scene, and inhereted different item nodes from it. they all had an initializer that connected signals from other parts of the game to whatever effect the item had. the signals system in godot worked really well for this, especially for the spells.

You just saved us from missing a huge bug lmao, thanks so much!!

I liked the idea of it being a balancing act, but I think making things a little more fast paced and maybe adding sound would add a lot! overall though its  cute lil game!

i like the idea a lot! it was interesting to see stats attributed and linked to towers!

i hope you're feeling better after getting covid, but i really liked the pixel art!

thanks so much for playing and I'm super glad you enjoyed it! it's great to hear the length was right. and thanks for the feedback! that stuff was on the list to do but i just got a bit tired towards the end and needed to rest, haha. glad you liked it!

I just wanna say that the problem isn't even that big, like even if it was kinda annoying and I couldn't beat it, it was definitely one of the most fun jam games I've ever played !!!

how do i run the file?

interesting! foxy is really cute!

great job!

this is really fun and cute! very great to just throw em about. I wish there was a lil more too it but honestly great prototype and i'd love to see it fleshed out.

I can't get it to work/load :<

(1 edit)

first of all, i really liked the art and music being so weird! it had a really cool vibe to it. I was a bit confused about the actual gameplay though, i think i got the hang of it, but it was hard to find direction. great job all around though! definitely memorable.

also you might wanna take down the .exe upload since it only works if u download the other file

great job on your first game! i hope you make more in the future :>

ok damn. this is so awesome, it's such a fun concept done really dang well. the whole idea is silly but cute and linus is really funny as a subject for a 'pet' game, and the kicking to france is a great idea. i really loved the way the music evolved as well! that detail really made me smile. One thing I would critique is the overshot; i couldn't beat the game because on the 3rd or 4th level i either completely overshot, or some mushroom just randomly popped up and made me overshoot, and after 15 minutes on that one part i kinda just gave up, but even then i had fun!

great job!

i liked the sounds a lot, and the lighting effect for different times of day was really neat! i loved the designs of the pets, but maybe some more interactivity with them would be nice?

thanks so much for the feedback! yeah, it was really fun to do an FMV game, and I really wanted it to have a clear beginning and end. The minigames are definitely a little jank so thats something I would def wanna go back and change a bit. thanks for the pointer about the readability; I did have on a list to do to work out more of that but just got a bit pushed to time. thanks so much for playing!

this is really awesome! the art and atmosphere was amazing, and i could totally see some really interesting story coming out of this if you were able to do more with it. i really wanna know more about what happened at the end!

HELL YEAH SNAKE

Gotta say, this really made me chuckle. felt really great just being like. nope! bye!

it's really pretty! i don't really get how to play though, and the resolution on the screen was weird so i couldn't actually see the sides

we had a similar sort of idea, but i really like how you did it! great job!

This was really cool! i think there was a lot of text on the screen sometimes but apart from that I really liked it!

thanks so much for playing the game! I'm glad you caught the celeste reference. i was running out of time and i felt the strawberry didn't look close enough, so thats nice to hear. yknow, it didn't occur to me as describing using robing hood would have implications, so thats on me not doing enough proofreading. my thoughts about the kingson was that you were kinda supposed to be like. well hes a kid so.. maybe no swords,  but i think maybe i could have made it more obvious he wasn't necissarily to be listened to exactly, and more of a make a better judgement. thanks for all the feedback! i do hope to clean up the ui as well too eventually.
