The atmosphere is awesome and its a really interesting concept, I took a time to get used to the controls  but when I got the tirck its really fun. I would loooooved to hear a sutile ambient music in the background but its a good game.

Thank you very much for playing our game, it could help us a lot if you have more feedback for us! and about the music there is actually a really sutile ambient music, maybe is too sutile haha .

I got scared by the angler fish, he also dissapeared without any reason

Developer

they are magical species that use their special abilities to scape :) try to approach slowly and click them so you can lure them

I really liked the atmosphere in this game, deep sea creatures are always fascinating and it was cool to be able to explore the ocean. Obviously there's polish that needs to be done all over the place, with clear player feedback being probably the most obvious, but after I got used to the quirks it didn't really matter too much.

The only thing that really threw me for a loop was that I think some of the text for the hints is off. A few of them had incorrect depths and it made me think I'd have to drive all the way back to near the surface to find them (the one I remember most clearly said "800" when it meant "8000", but there were others). However, I kept going down because I was curious and ended up finding all the animals.

Beyond that, the mini-games were mildly hard but fair and it was fun to "battle" the creatures in that unique way, rather than just trying to catch them (which initially was what I was trying to do, instead of clicking the "Lure" button).

Overall great job, it would be interesting to see a more polished version of this game!

thanks a lot for the feedback, we love that you wanted to explore more, you are totally right some of the text  in the tips doesnt match the actual place were you can find the creatures, we were in a hurry trying to finish all the systems and we wanted to have more content and more polish, but well is the spirit of a game jam we had so much fun doing it and we will be working on it post jam, thanks for the detailed review and the kind words!

Very nice game! I found it fun to play.
I really like the attention to detail that seems to have gone into it, such as the submarine's horizontal and vertical rotor moving individually. And especially the sound effects, they fit well!
Not sure if this game even needs background music. Perhaps a bit more ambience in the background.
It'd be nice if the background color between areas would change gradually, though.
I also think this entry could use a bit more neon, even though it's clearly present in the submarine itself. Because of that, the theme use feels a bit limited.
Nonetheless I did really enjoy this entry!

Thank you very much for your kind words, the idea of the neon it was more in the creatures than in the sub itself, we were short of time to add more neon creatures to the game, but I understand what you say, thanks a lot for the feedback and the kind words!

Tricky to learn, but I eventually figured out how to catch creatures on my own. Interesting concept, though there is room for polish in the gameplay aspect (e.g. allow using the same symbol in quick succession) and general communication (the fish-catching animation after going back to the overworld was quite inconsistent, so I wasn't even sure if I caught the fish or not).

I liked the general atmosphere and a variety of environment, even this not directly relevant to the gameplay - it really added life to the game. One potentially nice addition - have the background change between zones gradually (e.g. using merge_color) rather than abruptly. Overall, I managed to find 3 clues and all four fish and completed the game. Nicely done. ^^

Thanks a lot for the feedback yeah we are going to do the changin the colour gradually thing is easy to implement and it Will make it a lot cooler, its very Nice to know that you were able to finish the game you are the second person so far, we planned for +20 creatures but for time constrains were difficult to achieved but we will be working on this Game post jam and add a lot of new stuff fixes and upgrades, about the color pattern minigame, we blocked the same pattern quick use, to quick 'fix" a bug in the last minute but it definitely needs more work also a better visual indication when the same pattern repeats, this kind of detailed feedback is really amazing for us is very specific and helpfull, thanks a lot for playing our Game!

Very cool game! I really enjoyed exploring the ocean and diving deeper to find all the different species. It was exciting to see new things the deeper you get. Interesting concept, great job!
