I just downloaded it for windows, extracted the zip, clicked on Fugl.exe, and got this message: "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Help?

Developer

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. It is a dependency, that should have been automaticallly installed. I'll have a look at the install script tomorrow.

I came to the same error.  Glad you are looking at it.  I saw this game at BitBash in Chicago by the way, and have had my eyes on it ever since.  It looks great!

Same error! This sounds like the exact sort of game I've been looking to play--can't wait!

I installed it on Steam, and it worked, and now the itch version works too :)  Maybe that will help.

Tried reinstalling the game. Didn't help though. So the issue still exists.

Do you have Steam?  If you purchased the game, you got a free Steam key too.  When I installed the Steam version, it installed the required dll or whatever it needed.  Not that the dev shouldn't fix the problem here, but in the short term it may get the game running.

I had this issue too, installed through the itch.io client on my windows

Probably require Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package.

Yes. That works

Hey everyone,

I tried installing it from the itch site, no luck. Then I tried it from the itch app, still nothing. However, I downloaded it from steam, with that handy lil steam key that came with it, and I'm flyin' freely! 馃

The game is part of the recent bundle where no Steam keys are included. Pointing at downloading on Steam is not a solution for the missing dll.

It is part of the  Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 and can be downloaded here (x86 and x64):

The game is nice, I love the voxel worlds, hopefully we don't have to live with outdated version here for long.
