The Download for the full version brings me to Steam, but I can't download it there because I didn't buy it there. I bought it here on itch.io.

The game is part of the recent bundle where no Steam keys are included. Pointing at downloading on Steam is not a solution for the missing dll.
It is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 and can be downloaded here (x86 and x64):

The game is nice, I love the voxel worlds, hopefully we don't have to live with outdated version here for long.
