I had fun trying to work out this game. It presents an interesting challenge and in some ways its lack of explanation makes it all the more intriguing. The behaviour of the ball seems a little inconsistent though maybe that's kind of the idea. Good stuff.

Very interesting take!

I just had a hard time finding which obstacle did what. The rotation didn’t work that well and made it more difficult and longer to design the race.

I wish there were descriptions of the different obstacles we can use.

Nice job.

Yea I agree I need a way to make the mechanics more clear. I plan to go back and add some tooltips or a better tutorial

Neat take on the theme, could see this being a really cool postjam game, would have like a tooltip that told me what the objects did and had a couple time where i got the target time but it said i should retry. Other than that nice game :)

I do plan on working on it post jam because I ended up much happier with the mechanics than I expected, but I agree they need to be better conveyed to the players. Thank you for playing!

Got a tower defense kind of vibes here, really interesting concept. Thought I got a little confused on what will the AI respond to the items you put in but after that you can get your imagination run wild.

Cheers!!!

Thank you i'm glad you enjoyed it! I agree that the various interactions need to be made more clear. Hoping to add a better tutorial and some tooltips after jam voting is over

I love the concept of this.  Building the stage for the A.I. is a cool concept I never would have thought of.  I ran into a couple bugs while playing, especially the contestant going through the metal door when I tried to block them off with it, but a very enjoyable game all around and a GREAT use of theme.

Thanks i'm glad you enjoyed it! I know there is definitely some polishing that needs to be done and as some people have pointed out I need to make the mechanics a bit clearer, but i'm still proud of what I got done and glad that you liked it!

I also really like the concept of this game. I'm a fan of being able to set up your own stage and let the characters respond to things you've placed in their environment. I also use the construct 3 engine, so I can certainly appreciate the work you put in. I think I would like to see this improved upon even more, because it could definitely be something really fun! I did have an issue where my character got stuck between a wall and I had to reload the game.

Nicely done.

yea there are definitely a few issues that need to be ironed out and I do want to keep working on it, so thank you for trying it out and giving feedback!

I like your concept. But i think your game is not satisfying the theme. I really like the concept of the game.

the game was interesting! I had trouble with it because the pathing would just go to the top left corner when you block off the pathway with a door instead of going for the key, but I enjoyed the premise and the tune in the background was nice.

Developer

Thanks so much! It was my first time making music so i'm glad it turned out ok! The pathfinding was the toughest part to work on for me. Could you tell me which door was causing the problem? Was it the door with the button that needs to be pressed or the vine doors that require the knife to cut?

Submitted(+1)

i had a line of vine doors with a single wooden door with the button, but instead of going for the button it just went ti the top left

Developer

hmm, weird... I will look into it and see what I can do to fix it. Thanks!
