Originality Sound
Yes. I used zapsplat for my royalty free music and sounds. I've tried making my own sounds with a microphone and haven't been pleased. I will try to be more original with sound next time since this was my first jam.

I just played it twice.
The first time, I navigated from door 1 to door 4, only finding treasure chests, and reached the exit. I felt I missed something, so I tried again.
Second time, I was lost, I didn’t understand why I couldn’t leave the rooms, and when I got the key or the lever, ended up in the same room doing the same thing. In the end, I got the second ending.
You maybe should add some kind of thing (animation, text, etc.) to make it more clear that it’s something (para)normal.
The idea behind the game is good, it sure needs more polish, but it is highly playable.
I always love when a game is not what I expected it to be.
Good work!
Thank you for the constructive feedback. I understand all of the issues you faced. If I had it to do over again there would be some different things I focused on. Primarily with how the rooms are generated and the transitions between rooms.
An interesting little game to be sure. Could have used a little build up, but still a solid little adventure.
Thanks for your comments. I completely agree and wish I would have had more time to add all of the content I originally wanted to. I’m glad you found it interesting!
Just finished both ending, and i say it has nice visual! I like there's a multiple ending. In danger room, the contestant can die by touching enemy's head. Not really a big deal though
Nice work!
Absolutely, the enemy behavior and collisions were very much bare bones due to my time crunch. I certainly wish I could have dialed them up better. I’m glad you liked the two endings to choose from!
Nice horror game! I totally didn't get the story at start , but realized what was happening by the end! The rooms mechanic was well made , though I did get confused . Does going back through the same door make you go in the same place as earlier? The surprise ending was well made, loved the cliffhanger. Good job!
Thank you for the review and comments! I had some more content I would have loved to have put into the game but didn’t have the time. The doors are all randomized each time you enter a new room. Sometimes you just get unlucky and get placed in the same room 3 or 4 times in a row. That’s one of the biggest flaws in the game for sure that I would have done better if I had a do over.
Happy you enjoyed it!
Pretty cool game always fun to see more lore-focused games in jams since they are quite rare. One change I might consider making is changing the position of the doors in each room since it was hard to tell if I was moving into a different room when the position of all the doors remained the same. Besides that confusion, it was a really nice game, well done :)
Thank you for playing and for the review. I really enjoy a good story and feel like it can make an average game a good game, so thank you for saying that. I agree, one of my cons in my postmortem I did revolved around the doors. I felt like there wasn't enough feedback when you entered a room to know what was happening. I had initially though about making it to where you can't go into the same room consecutively, but I really like your idea of the changing door numbers.
Hey nice game nice story.... But I didn't understand what about the lever and door 1 and door 3.
Thank you for the feedback!
The lever in the "Danger Room" unlocks the doors so you can progress to the next room. So doors 1 and 3 are the same as 2 and 4, the rooms are randomized, so it's possible that you can reload the same room which may make it appear the doors don't work.
In hindsight I would re-do this so that you can't enter the same room consecutively.
