Recapcha blocked in my country

In my country, Recapcha is blocked, so if I log out I can't sign back in. Any ways to avoid this?

Out of curiosity, what does “Recapcha is blocked” exactly mean? Is the Recapcha presented to you with no way to complete it? Or does it not show up at all? I’ve never heard of this and would like to know more about it.

Also if you don’t mind, could you share the country that it’s blocked?

Recaptcha is blocked in China, so it doesn't load. The website that hosts Recaptcha is blocked, so all information from it to me is blocked

I would use this as an opportunity to ditch Recaptcha entirely. There have been multiple pieces of evidence on how it’s an abuse of privacy.

Add two factor auth to your account and it wont be subject to login recapcha

Can you change two factor auth to allow you to verify by email?

Not that I would be in need of this feature right now, but I thought it would be better to say something now - rather than to complain later when I’m in dire need and/or angry:

As someone who doesn’t own a mobile phone of any kind, being able to use two factor auth via email would be the only way for me to use that feature.

That being said, I’m being told that a self-made Captcha (which you would have full control over) could be written in less than an afternoon. There are so many talented programmers on this site - you could hold a small competition and pick the best one. ;)

As I mentioned in another comment, it’s not necessary to have a phone to use 2FA.

We have no plans to implement our own captcha at this time. Do it wrong or ineffectively makes it useless.

Thank you. I’ve set myself a bookmark, so I’ll remember how to do it if/when it becomes necessary.

I know about that, sadly I don't have a phone that will fit that function.

It’s not necessary to use a phone for 2FA apps (although it’s generally recommended to have 2FA on a separate device), you can find open-source solutions for both phones, desktop, and browser for generating the codes. It’s an open-source algorithm that anyone can implement.
