Fun design and concept! Great combination of 3D and pixel textures.

LOVED the music and general vibe of running around collecting items. Strongly reminded me of riding chocobo's in final fantasy 15. Also great stippling on the menu. I wasn't totally into the potion mixing, maybe the info on both the buyers and mixing screen could be condensed, because it didn't feel like it added that much jumping between the two screens. Regardless, I didn't care because I WAS A BABY DUCK WITH A FLOWER HAT.
Overall really impressive.
Thank you! The stipling was just a dithered brush for photoshop so I can't take much credit for that :P
I was thinking of adding the two menus together but I was a little worried about putting too much info in one place that would overwhelm the player. I made the choice when I didnt know if I'd have enough time to make a tutorial so if I were to go back I'd probably do it all in one menu with different sections .
I'm glad you enjoyed, thanks so much for playing! :)
I am really impressed by this game. Colour matching is an interesting way to challenge the player that I haven't come across too often. I can see a lot of work went into the game system, the quirky voxel art style and the music and sound design. The design of the open world invites me to go out and discover things, and once I went too far and realised too late haha. I feel both pressured to make enough potions to pay the bills and at the same time I feel relaxed to explore the open world.
I'm not too sure about the effectiveness of your colourblind update because a good ability to discern the difference between colours is still needed. But the colourblind update did actually make the open world look a lot prettier haha!
I did encounter a bug that allowed me to retain all my stuff when I restarted the day. But that's a minor thing and the game design still speaks through.
I love the DUCK!
Thank you! I've been considering a couple different approaches to the colourblind options, it's my first time properly designing for accessbility and I only realised it was needed about halfway through the jam, so it's definitely not the best option.
I'll take a look into that bug, thanks for the heads up! I might be releasing one more version for archiving purposes and to share some fanart I've received in the menu.
Also, the duck loves you too! <3
Cool game.
I loved running around and trying to fly and glide. It would have been nice to have an indication of how much time I still have left in the day. I ran around like crazy, trying to collect everything then the day was finished. The plants are also a bit camouflaged, I didn't know what can be picked up so while I ran around I just spammed F to pick everything up :)
The camera angle switch from outdoors to indoors confused me at first, but other than that, good game.
Cute graphics and a chilled sound track really add to this entry!
Had fun exploring the island and kind of messed up my first day XD.
Don't have much to say other than making it more clear about what needs to be done. Maybe adding it to the UI?
And also pulling the camera back. It felt a bit too close to the duck.
But awesome effort you two!
I really liked this one. Its gorgeous, the ducks animation is silly and fun, and I loved the whole vibe of walking around and exploring the environment as the sun sets... Well DONE!!! Of course I would have loved to actually make potions. And sad I "lost" on day 2. I gathered so much stuff. Could probably use some playtesting and balancing.
