Wow, really clever!  I actually did better when I stopped watching the letters so closely and "felt" the beat.  An unusual twist on an uncommon, game type.  I imagined this being taken over by teachers to have science vocab, etc go scrolling by.  I never actually "collected" any words though, at the level's end, even after replaying to make certain I got some.  Still, it was Fun!

Thanks for playing our game and for the feedback!
It was made by two teachers :)

While the drawn graphics really aren't that beautiful, the presentation of the time wizard together with the little animations give it a quirky charm. Thanks for making me smile btw, one seldom encounters voice-acting in a jam game.
On my first playthrough I thought the game was waaay to hard, but I stuck with it and the second time around I almost got a gold medal in every part - really satisfying.
The bach song played only halfway on that second playthrough though, so you guys will have to look into that.
"Collecting" the vocabulary terms is kind of a stretch for collectables...

Thank you for the feedback!  Yeah it is pretty challenging, next time I would at least make level 1 a little forgiving.   I am going to go back in and fix that bug after the jam.  Thank you for playing!

I think the coolest parts were the intro music and the Time Wizard voice over sequence. Honestly I think it was a solid intro into the game.

I would encourage you two to make a cinematic game that uses those skills.

Sadly, I cannot touch type and I felt BAAD for even trying to play. but when I did hit a note. it sounded really pretty. and I liked that

Thank you so much!  I'm a music teacher who's learning game design to make learning tools for kids.  This one is definitely waaaaaay too hard for that but I wanted to try something crazy for the jam.  If you like the story/voice acting and know someone ages 5-10 who wants to learn music (or just likes silly stuff) I made some free general music games at www.starquestcamp.com  .  That was the first big thing I made but I didn't know how to program so the gameplay is basically just point and click quiz stuff, it's fully animated and voice acted though.  I can't wait to see your next game and the developments on Dropoff if you keep working on it!  Thanks for playing!

That's super zany in the best way. I'm watching a bit of episode one and it's really enjoyable. You should make a youtube series as you are really good at directing these cinematic moments and ideas!

As for Drop Off, I think we'll probably give it some polish. But more importantly we're working on a bigger project Two Timin' Towers
You should def check it out.

Very difficult but for just the theme and implementation alone that was the most fun game I've found this jam.  The music was a blast and even if I only got two words in a level I was still having fun.  Great gob!

Developer

I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  I went way overboard with difficulty this time, I'm hoping to eventually go back and make an easier level to ramp it up.   Thank you for playing our game!!!!

Even though it has two levels, I had a blast playing them over and over trying to get a perfect score, it was great! With a little more polish it could be a great game to training your typing. Voice and sounds were great too. You even added everyone's favorite band, The Bootles! Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much!! Hahaha I have Bootlemania! I think it would be a lot of fun to make a full typing game where it teaches you along the way.  I have to learn a bit more about programming first.    Thank you for playing!

Its very hard! But i loved

the feedback for the words collected could be more visible

Thank you for the feedback.  I'm going to go and think of a way to better give that info to the player.  Maybe having a current word on top and then it will make a sound when it collects.  Thank you for playing our game!
