Dont overscope, when you think your game is in scope, its proboly wayyyy larger

Have fun. Remember to sleep and eat and stuff.

As they've already mentioned: keep the scope small. In my first jam, we (team of three) did a game with five levels. Bad idea: the pixel art alone was forty hours of work.

It helps if you have the game engine and any other software you need already downloaded and ready to go on your computer before the jam starts. (I did not do this in Mini-Jam 61...). Having an idea of roughly what kind of game you want to make can help, too: 3D or 2D? Top down? Platformer? FPS?

Welcome to the party :D

Have fun! Dont overwork yourself and make a big game in 2 days, think smol

Finish the game in a day, spend the rest of the time polishing.

If you run out of time near the end you can aim "something playable". If the players like a too short game, they will sometime ask for a more levels after the Jam and they have an option to follow you on itch.

The first time you publish the game on itch.io it can be long. Try to publish one hour before the end of the Jam, at least. It can be very fast to publish your game but it's risky to wait to much. If you don't change the game file, you have time to polish the game description after the deadline,  or add pictures on itch.io.

Don't forget to take a beautiful picture of your game when you try it, for your cover on itch.io. :) (optional and can be done after the deadline)
