The bug is back. I'm in the middle of collecting all the underverse subunits, and suddenly combat loot sites have started only dropping a single ai core again.

It seems to be a bit more sporadic than before, but it still happens maybe about 2/3 of the time when I attempt to pick up loot.

It started just after I finished collecting my 76th and 77th units. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have them installed or not. I have only been grinding for a while, so I have been doing almost nothing else but combat, and buying/selling the loot I get. No mods or cheats, either.

I have backed up a save at the point where I first noticed it happening, as well as the start of the day save, but I'm not sure how to get it to you. I don't use Discord, Patreon or the like. I don't think dropping a cloud link here would be appropriate either.

that is peculiar. Normally the loot is rolled from a loot table that depends on the level, the enemy, the rating of the whole combat level and other things

What I could imagine is that a single unit has a wrong loot table entry.

Can you link this odd behaviour to a specific level? The name is shown in the headline of the combat screen.

Also, is the loot behaviour specific to a certain unit?

Sorry for the late reply. I had a couple of heavy work days, then I spent some time playing on, to see if I could detect any patterns to the bug.

Maybe I should first clarify that this happens in space combat screens. No, I don't see any dependence on the type of encounter or any other condition. Whenever I go to pick up the loot after the battle, it usually gives me only the one item. It only behaves properly sporadically, maybe 20-25% of the time.

However, unlike in my first playthrough, where it became a constant issue (and was one reason I decided to start over), this time it seems to go through cycles. It will occur for 3/4 of a day or so—several combats—then behave normally for about an equal length of time. Sometimes it even starts or stops while I'm in the middle of collecting the loot, with no apparent triggering event.

Other than that there's really nothing else I can say. As I mentioned it just started suddenly while I was grinding for the underverse subunits (both times). There are no other conditions or patterns that I can detect.

I'm currently using v.2.41, the Linux version, but the first time around was about 3 versions ago, Again, I have the saves from just before and after it started, if they would help, and if there's some way to get them to you.

Hmmm. Thanks for the additional info. It might be related to screen prediction code running. If you can upload the save game to some share (mega etc.) and make the link available I'll have a look. Post occurrence save is more important.
