That’s not fair! I got so hooked on this game that the other participants are going to get less time with it now :)

Great game, nice vibe, relaxing gameplay.

As for criticism, I’d suggest reworking the UI. All that "spin"-"open window"-"do what you wanted"-"close window"-"open another window"-...

It would be better if those windows didn't block the screen. You’ve got that thing with the recipe wheel: if you trigger it, the window stays open, and I can still spin the sawmill and mine wheels right through it.

And if that’s a bug - don’t fix it. That’s how everything in the game should work. It would be so much better if the interface never blocked or covered anything, or closed just because you clicked somewhere else. The flow and comfort would improve immensely.

Otherwise, I spent a ton of time on it and have no regrets. Good job.

I especially liked the phrase the dwarves use in their fictional language: "idi nahuy!" It must mean something very serious. From the context, I gather they’re wishing us a good day and good luck at work.

So, Dev—"sam idi nahuy!" :)

I think at some point we wanted to add hotkeys for each window but we forgor or didn't have time. Sorry for the frustation

Thank you for feedback and wishing us a good day! So kind of you :D

Didn't know you speak gnomish, that is so awesome and epic!

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!

I forgot to mention one thing!

I wasn't too fond of how the wheel upgrade was handled at one point.

I often just needed a stone - which wasn't a problem when the drop chance was 50%. But then I upgraded the wheel, and... the chance dropped to 30%, and then even lower.

That was a bit frustrating, because the "upgrade" actually slowed down my progress. Either I misunderstood something, or this needs addressing. For example, maybe allow players to temporarily "disable" such upgrades, or something similar.

I realize the idea is to give me higher-tier resources, but, oddly enough, they’re actually less valuable. That’s because I can craft a wider variety of items from the basic ones, whereas the complex ones limit my choices.

Sorry for the criticism. I wouldn't be writing all this if I didn't like the game :)

No no, that's fair. The idea was for players to realize they don't get much stone and start looking into the mine and for some sort of upgradfe there (stone and all), after which they would unlock auto stone gathering in quarry. During last day testing we realized that it is not that obvious but there was no time to change anything

There is so much stuff we would change in the hindsight like auto generation, de-crafting, some sort of money sink, more stone and stone crafts for the late game and some more stuff, perhaps after the jam is over we would return to this

Thanks for taking your time to write a comment, handsome chess frog. You look lovely today!
