Is it possible for a skip to happen for the giant plant in the forest? I can't find the thing for the fairies.
So, I just figured it out, seems like I softlocked myself out of the upper area of New Ark City, I had skipped Fawns story because I had completed the story before, but I had accidentally deleted the folder before changing it to version 72 (back when it was released to the public), which was a mistake on my part, I didn't think that skipping the story quest would have any negative effects, I really don't want to make a new save just to get the stuff to beat the plant.
It's a deliberately fairly lategame gate. Keep playing and you'll access the item as you go. The item they want is pretty obvious once you actually know the item exists, so having a skip for it seems weird; it's not a difficult or tedious quest at all.
