I think it's the black screen bug, had it happen in the cow milking when I went to sleep there, right now it's doesn't but it's seems like it's sorta uncommon issues. I usually just fixed it by getting to sleep or leaving could be possible.

Don't think there's anyway to have it permanent unless you save it in the hot spring, but then you have to reload it if you got changed.

Might be it's a bit difficult with the current system.

You need to have large or long range attacks, basically any fox or with a ram horn to make movements as attacks too. You should experiment with skills and different transformation. It's honestly wasn't too difficult as long as you have movements and large to hit skills.
