Nice work! Cool pixel art and intro comic. Art is very good. Pretty interesting game mechanic, I like your take on the theme. It's pretty fun for a little while. I think what might keep me playing is if there were incremental upgrades, sort of like the perks at the beginning but they just keep stacking? But yeah good job it's a pretty polished final product
Yeah stackable upgrades to the blessings would be very fun, i have some ideas similar to how it works in other survivors game. Hopefully I can add them in the future if I get a chance. Thanks for playing!
Wow this was really well made and very unique! The pixel art it amazing and the gameplay was challenging and engaging! Not sure if it was just me but i had a problem with my cursor leaving the screen when spinning the shield around but other than late, fantastic!
I did notice the cursors glitch on some browsers. I've recently started building in vanilla js for game jam entries and its something I'm still figuring out minor bugs in lol. Mostly just locking the cursor and making sure we dont accidentally right click and open any browser options. The feedback is much appreciated . Thanks for playing :D
Nice entry, really enjoyed this one! Nice take on the theme, haven't seen anything exactly like it, and it felt like a good twist on the survivor-like/twin stick shooter concepts.
I thought the difficulty felt pretty good for me, it started out easy but the last couple of waves got very frantic and I almost lost a few times. Could vary depending on what blessings you choose I suppose. The art looked good and there was plenty of player feedback to juice things up. Nice selections on the chiptunes and sound effects too.
I would have liked to see some kind of level up mechanic or the ability to add on a new blessing or some kind of character advancement mid-run. Maybe something to consider for a future version if you keep going with it!
Anyway, definitely one of the more fun and polished entries I've played, and it's always nice when the length and difficulty feel just right for a jam game. Great work!

I really liked the art, especially in the cutscene. Controlling the shield and the warrior separately also felt cool and the Blessings are fun, even though I didn’t get to try many combinations.
One small thing for me was that the game felt a bit too easy. I think it could be interesting to see how it feels with a bit more challenge over time.
Still, great job!

Aesthetics and music were nice. Controlling the shield was fun. Good entry.
Really neat tower defense -like. But it feels a tad one-none and becomes kinda boring very quickly. It should have more meat to it, like for example actively gaining more powerups during the waves to spice up the gameplay, or have some kind of a break in-between. Great attempt though!

Cool concept. Love the art, pretty well done. The shield movement at high speeds is a bit iffy, but otherwise cool. The game needs some variety as right now it is just doing the same thing over and over again with some slight variation (i.e. skeleton has more HP or the bat is faster) but feels same-y after a while.
Overall, pretty well made experience nonetheless.
I appreciate for the feedback! Totally agree with the lack of enemy variety. I planned to added a 3 phase Mega boss at the end, kinda similar to how the binding of isaac bosses are designed, to make the experience more unique. Sadly i didn't have get the time. Thanks for playing!
