Lovely artwork and presentation!  I haven't seen the combo of watercolor and CRT before so props for that.   The theme reveal in the audiologs (nice voiceacting btw) was quite fitting!

I felt it was unclear that I  was supposed to reach a midpoint of chaos orbs so for the most part I tried maxing it and got stuck at the 4th audiolog.  Are the distant stars reachable for anything? I wasn't able to  interact with them at all.
Minor note, there's a transparent hole in the D on the sticky note

Yooooo I like the handmade art it adds so much uniqueness to the identity and vibe to the game. Also impressive how you added a story, it makes the game much more immersive. You start off not really knowing why you are doing what you're doing, and then you slowly realize how you got to this position. I had to restart the game at some parts, so having the ability to pause the audio logs when they first play and being able to exit out might be a good feature, potentially. Also on my first run, I ran into a bug where once my first galaxy got to max chaos, I was able to type the name of the new galaxy, but I wasn't able to leave that screen. I'm not sure if that was jus me or if I did something weird, but I was stuck and had to restart. Also, if you drag the elements that you need to drag into Grotchen to under the galaxy instead, it will hide behind the galaxy icon and you won't be able to grab them since the galaxy icon is the top layer. I really like this concept though, and it's such a fun and creative idea to be in charge of your own universe via accepting pop-ups like that. I also enjoyed the cleaning the cannon mini game but wasn't sure how it related to making the universes. Overall, good job!

Thanks for checking it out and the in-depth feedback! I am aware of some of the bugs and intend on working on them post jam :).

Yes, I intend to make the logs skippable just didn't have time to implement b4 launch ! But after the jam for sure.

Again super super appreciate the kind words thank you much🙏

The handdrawn art style is really fun and cozy. The game has a very charming vibe coupled with the music. I enjoyed the chill mini games they were pretty fun and satisfying. Doing some UI fixes and changes as mentioned by other commenters would give it more polish but yeah other than that awesome entry!

Developer

thank you!

Love the art style and doing everything through your desktop interface is super charming and nostalgic. The sound design really sells it too and the voice acting is awesome! I see that the credits not triggering is a known issue already, it's a shame but I'm sure that's an easy fix and you made a great experience regardless!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!!

Cozy game about rebuilding the universe, the music was soothing and I enjoyed the minigame for cleaning gretchen the cannon.I also got stuck at where beardmage got stuck at but before that happened, I was enjoying the slower pace of this game compared to the other submissions so far

Developer

That's so nice, thank you :). I'm glad you had fun. Btw that's the end of the game as I was telling beard mage, the credits just don't get triggered like they're supposed to :(. But yeah thank you so much glad you enjoyed it!

I think I got stuck :(

Really original concept ! I do like the chill aspect a lot ! If I may suggest a few things, the "Close" button on the audio log is black for me, it took me a while to figure out I could click it ! I guess it was not intended since other menus do have the red button.

Subtitles would be much appreciated as well, it would help non-native english speakers a lot ! (Also, some folks just don't play with the sound on or with music on the side)

Anyway, I had a good time ! The voice acting is really well done and adds a lot to the mood. Good job !

Hey!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the game :). Thanks for the feedback.

p.s. you beat the game. it's supposed to trigger credits after that, but it doesn't work. Must fix post-jam

This is fascinating, and the voice overs really sold it! I really loved the elements and the galaxy gameplay, and it kind of reminded me of Little Alchemy.

Developer

YOOOOO omg... I used to play that back in the day. Thank you thank you 🙏

This is really fascinating art. I liked that it was (or felt like it was) painted in real life and not digitally. With so much AI art out there these days, this really stands out.

I had a hard time getting started. I couldn't find the X to close the first window, and after that, I felt like I needed a few more visual clues or a tutorial. I never figured out what the chaos meter was for.

Regardless, I liked it. It's different and a good jam game.

Thank you so much!

Yes, the background is painted with watercolor and ink :).

That is totally fair, I also feel it needs more visual cues and direction.

The requests you accept and reject move the chaos meter. If it fills or empties, the galaxy you had is destroyed and you start a new one. I think the decisions need to cause the meter to move more.

Also it affects the ending, but the ending doesn't work sometimes.

But yes, in any case I really appreciate your feedback, and thanks again so much for playing <3

Super cool concept and great unique artwork! The voice overs were a nice touch. Are there currently only 4 audio logs or did I miss a way to progress? I need to know more about Gretchen! Some feedback:

- The gameplay itself got a little stale in terms of creating new galaxies and cleaning the cannon. Some sort of progression or new events to the galaxies would be great.

- I was unsure of the consequences of my choice for the galaxies and the significance of the chaos meter.

Other than that, it is a super unique and well made game! Adding more to it, and expanding upon the gameplay mechanics and you could have a real gem here. Great job!

Developer

To explain, yes there is a 5th log. It is supposed to play when after 4 logs you make a galaxy with perfect balance. Unfortunately, after 4 logs the game doesn't allow you to make more choices, so you can only get it on the first try. didn't know this until after submitting.

If you don't keep a balance of chaos your galaxy becomes unstable and is destroyed.

Very interesting concept, and I really like your art style! The more cartoonish background actually makes the galaxy feel more real in a fun way :D

Developer

That's awesome, thank you!

I love the voice and aesthetics of the game, it makes me remember about the audio logs in BioShock!

Hey! I just tried your game — really liked the voice acting and old games vibe.

I made a game where you play as the boss and the hero adapts to your strategy. Would love your feedback on whether it feels fair!
