It's really good, I played for a while but it's very long! I'm surprised you managed to do so mush in two weeks.

The movement felt pretty good, but I feel like some acceleration/friction would make it feel way better. Right now it feels like you go from 0% to 100% speed in one frame. Also, I think some animation blending would make the game feel even better.

I was a little confused with the goblins at first, I didn't realize they throw the bouncy stuff, so I just evaded them, but once I figured it out, I thought they weren't enemies at all and ended up getting hit, and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the blue things in the ceiling hurt you so that's a little inconsistent. At the end of the day, for the goblins I just waited for them to shoot and tapped a direction for a second.

The puzzle in the middle was a little out of place imo, maybe because it took me way to long to realize some wall can be hidden with the potions while other not, and they look pretty similar. Maybe instead of those walls it could have a thick layer of the purple smoke?

And finally, the post-processing was nice, maybe you went a little to hard with the depth of field. Also, the character got really blurry when moving, was that motion blur?

Overall I enjoyed it a lot! Definitely one of the most polished games from the jam I've played so far. Good job!

Really fun and addictive! It would be nice if there was a timer to see how far we made it.

The upgrade system is very creative, but I'm not sure if I like that the elements are consumed even if you don't make anything, after a while I just upgraded the fireballs and the base spell and made it pretty far.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! And thanks a lot for the nice review, it is really motivating to continue working on the game!

Great game! Played through the whole thing and liked it a lot! Love the look and the music. I thought the glyph mechanics would get confusing, but the fact that you can change them with the numbers made the game for me. I think if I had to open the book every time I wanted to try something I wouldn't have finished it.

Only issues are a couple of small bugs, but the I really liked the rest! Good job!

Bruh I just realize I didn't take into account the friction when calculating the character speed :/ no wonder the character feels super slippery lmao.

It'll be fixed after the jam is over, thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, that's the first thing I plan to fix once the jam is over

Great pixel art! Some audio would go a long way. I don't know if I'm just bad, but I prefer to only use the melee attack since the spells just drain all my health

Also it would be nice if you could control the menus with the keyboard or the attacks with the mouse, it's a little annoying having to change your hand position so much.

With that said, love how the platforming feels, the art and the concept, hope you keep working on it!

Really cool that you got a randomly generated dungeon! I like how the movement feels and the pixel art is great!

I got confused with the crafting system, since there is no way to know what you are doing I just started clicking random things until I got a big bone and some bullet things?

I guess the bone did more damage but was very slow, but maybe some damage numbers would be nice to see if its actually worth it. I made it to the first boss and was really enjoying it, until I got hit with a tiny bullet and lost half my health, and then he started shooting a lot, almost like a bullet hell. I like the idea of evading a lot of bullets and finding the window to attack, but in my opinion it would be better if it was a little more forgiving.

I overall like the game and hope you continue to work on it!

Welp you just made me find a bug in the main menu, just click the new game button once or it screws up.

The game is more gpu intensive I would say. but I've seen it run smoothly in pretty slow pcs. Do you have hardware acceleration on? The game does stutter a bit whenever a new shader is loaded, but that is more of a Godot issue that can't pre compile shaders

Hey there might not be a lot to the gameplay loop yet, but you build a whole equipment and upgrade system that has potential to be really good! Hope you keep working on the game!

Great look and sound! The game is very polished and I enjoyed the few puzzles I managed to play this late lol. I'll probably come back to it later!

Hey, it's crazy you made it with JS, I bet it took a loot of work and it's very impressive for what it is in a technical level.

That said, if you were going to stick with JS, probably an interface based game would work better, like an idle, a clicker, a management game, etc.

Fun game! It feels like you are going in a loop without progressing after a while, but overall loved the feel and the look of the game!

(1 edit)

Yeah, that's the level I wish I got to redesign before the game jam time ended. A couple of my friends had a really hard time with it and I think is because I didn't give the player more information.

If anyone is reading this and got stuck in that level, there is terrain behind the wall that appears when the campfire turns on, you don't have to run with the fireballs, instead you need to time your jump behind the wall

But I'm glad you made it that far! Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Also, there is a lever selector if you want to try later levels

Great visual style and music! I really like how you interpreted the themes, me and I think most people took them in a very literal way, but I like your unique approach.

I was a little confused on what the objective of the game is besides making money and keeping the pets alive, but to be fair this is not really the kind of genre I play very often.

Overall loved the presentation and how polished the game feels, but it would be nice to be headed to an objective or having the mechanics evolve over time

Really addictive! Love the detail of showing how much percentage you lost when falling from high up

Thank you! Yeah the camera changes to where the  character is facing, I was planning on fixing it but ran out of time

Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Fun little arcade game! Made it to lvl 5 and then it got impossible though. Is that the end or did I miss something?

It's an interesting idea, but either I'm terrible or the system is way to confusing to use quickly

Hey played through the whole thing and it was very fun! Only thing I wasn't a fan of was doing the room where you change sizes multiple times, but really liked the rest!

Love the visual style and the atmosphere!

Love the art style and the concept. An indicator to show what kind of jump you currently have would be nice.

I'm not a fan of the respawn point being so high up, since it makes you stop pressing keys if you don't want to instantly die

Yes it does, it's a pretty straight forward approach

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback!

Yeah, I showed the levels to some friends and different levels were really difficult to different people. If you'd like you can try other levels through the level select in the main menu

Told you! Very different implementations though!

Bro we had the exact same idea lmao.

Really fun!
