One of the best game concepts I encountered among all jams and near perfect execution!!
most beautifull concept i ve seen in this jam i guess and art was perfect.
The game has an interesting concept. I didn’t expect it to end so quickly. At first, I felt very anxious, but the unexpected twist made that anxiety go away.
Art style was great. I'd love a prequel with more of Alene's storyline. Also loved the tutorial section. Animations were engaging.
Would be cool if it was a little more interactive.
This is surely one of my favorites! I loved the art style, the atmosphere, and everything else. Also, pretty unnerving — well done!
I found the game very unsettling at times which I suppose means you did your job well. The art style was also very cool.
I’m heartbroken my picture taking got interrupted :<
Very good game, it was quite creepy! I’m not usually a fan of visual novels, but I thought your game had some very strong visual storytelling. I also loved your art style, which feels very unique compared to what I’ve seen before. Some of the later visual elements were a really nice contrast to the main game and came as quite the surprise!
The only thing I would say is that I personally thought there could have been a bit more gameplay wise, but as a visual novel, it still gets the job done. Great work!
Thank you! I appreciate that.
Yeah I actually wanted to have more gameplay too. Originally I was going to have this be in a 3D scene so I could mess with the player more. But since I'm still new to Godot, I just could not figure it out lol and I ended up just going the 2D route. Which I got stumped on how I could mess with the player enough, I wanted it to be more psychological then just simple "Jumpscare, Loud sound" scary. But I eventually was like ehh this is boring (hence that one scene lol). Also 3 (minus one day I lost trying to figure out the 3D idea) days to make all the assets, music, think of gameplay/story, is stressful. I was rushin' lol.
I am glad you enjoyed it tho!
