im a small game dev with 3 games i have 30 views but only 12 people play my games that make me sad but thank you for the views

We do not need to be updated on your view counts every other day, and you do not need to personally thank your visitors after every 10 to 20 views. In fact, doing that is kind of spammy.

sorry

(Also, consider putting actual effort into your games and thumbnails instead of uploading three new games, none of which look remotely appealing, within a week. Effort gets rewarded.)

i can't draw and  i have school

Even if you *didn't* have school, making three games within one week almost guarantees that they will be bad.

Again: effort gets rewarded. Take your time and try to make something good. You will get a lot more attention that way.

To be clear: it's nice that you are making games, and I want you to keep making them! I am sure you can make something good - but doing that takes time. I'm sure you have more free time than me - you just need to be patient.

i spent a month on each game and put them here at once but next time i will take my time

I have a full time job, a wife, two tiny children and a dog to feed and play with, many other household chores, and loads of envy of all your free time as a student.

Try entering game jam contests.

That's not a guarantee for views by any stretch. I participated in a very large game jam back in 2024 and got all of 150 views and five comments on a game I'd spent most of my free time for three weeks on. You still need to catch people's eyes, even in a game jam.

150 views is a lot.  Some of my games get less than that, such as https://sundle.itch.io/siphon, which was a 3D first person shooter that looks decent:

And I note yours was a text based, hardcore sex game.

The game you are describing is not actually the jam game I was talking about. For the record, the game you are talking about sits at 11.3K views at the moment. But I do not want to discuss that game in detail here, because the OP of this thread is obviously a minor.

Forty percent (13/30) plays per view is a pretty good response.

When first putting out games, I think it helps to know that the percentage of page visitors who play the game drops when the view count spikes.

Most visitors seem to click out of curiosity and move after reading descriptions.

Keep grinding young one. Deliver the best quality product you can and good luck.

Hello kindagoodGamemaker. I have seen your profile. Just a small advice. Try adding some screenshots of your game in the page. This will help peoples understand what they will get in this game.

I'm sorry if this is kind of spammy but I have 100 views overall I posted one of my games on game jam this one My First Jam! 2026 - itch.io and I got a lot of views and feedback

I'd definitely recommend signing up for a game jam and developing a game there .

You'll see how your numbers go up 😉
