Alright a short but simple story, first try i got the bad end, but after reading a bit and choosing carefuly, i managed to get the best ending on the 2nd try.  The ocean + seagull sfx is spot on, felt like on a beach, the art and gameplay is truly felt like JRPG, as expected from RPG Maker. I just hope there is more to it, the story is nice and i think it can hook the player but im quite dissapointed that it is way too short, but considering it is made in 48 hours, it is a solid groundwork for a game. well done!

This is a nice little game, it may be short but it does it's job.

The gameplay isn't very deep since its pretty much just dialogue but I think it accomplishes its goal it sets out to do. You have to choose wisely because while morally you may just want to take the kids it may backfire and having the player make decisions like that in a game like this I feel is important so good job there. I think a couple of more characters to give more options would've been nice but with the same amount of limited space

The sounds and art is pretty par for the course as far as RPG maker goes, but truthfully I don't have enough knowledge about the engine to know how much of that is in your control. But if you are able to change those, in the future making those less generic would definitely help improve the game in the long run.

This is a short little experience that is good for what it is, and not everything needs to be a huge complex game, and the theme is implemented quite well, so good job :)

Nice little game and good story!

I kinda laughed at the intro explaining the different religions :D

Got all the endings and think that the game idea fits the theme very well...you can't save everyone! And if you don't pay attention you might even lose all of them.. great catch in that! I like the music and sounds, while sounds may need a little polish here and there (waves are quite noisy and too repetitive I think for instance).

The game itself is very short, there is not much to do, but the dialogues are good and the story feels nice.

Overall a good entry!

So after all that clicking and reading dialogs the game is over?

I got three endings- the bad, the disappointing and the best.

Wait... it the way to get the best ending is to take people without kids? Heartbreaking. I like how this theme got totally different interpretations, but this one was a total gut punch!

As for the presentation- well, it's rpg maker- ok pixel art, and decent music.

The gameplay was simple, and getting the different endings was a bit of a numbers game, but it works in the context of the theme.

Over all- simple, but pretty effective! Keep it up!

Thanks. I did not get much time to tweak statistics. It's possible to win if you take the boy and grandma with strong people, but I never found a way to be able to bring the little girl, which was frustrating because I really was not trying to have any characters who could never survive the journey, especially one of the kids. Maybe I need to put the old fighter up to full strength and let the girl have been taught more than a couple words of Free Country's language.

Update: Just replayed a couple times and it is possible for the little girl and the fighter to survive if you people who are strong with some skill in lang-culture. Glad I did not leave anyone unsavable.
