i was so fucking confused here because i read the tagline and the controls but the bit about how you didn't get the gameplay loop done was off the screen when i started playing lmao. i thought somehow the wrong game had loaded
sorry! happens to the best of us. not to suggest i'm the best of us. i hardly ever finish a god damn thing. sounds like a cool idea though
idk why it's so hard for me to focus until it's literally too late lol im sorry for the confusion
Great choices of ambient sounds i thought i had left the site that i use to play white noise to fall asleep to open on a beach sound pack after i forgot that i had opened the game. Game idea seems like it could be fun
maybe i will be able to work on it more after the judging
I couldn't get the tools and fire controls to work. Run makes a big movement speed difference so it may be worth making it a toggle to free up a finger. I like how the zoom goes from first-person to third-person to sim-game mode, that's really neat and not something I see very often! It's a bit early to fully tell what style you're aiming for, but I like the soothing ocean waves mixed with sci-fi drones and ray guns!
im sorry I wasn't able to finish the gameplay loop in time, im sure you would have had fun with it if I'd actually finished it
The zoom function is incredible, 10/10 - wish I could of seen this game better realised!
this is why you don't allow yourself to think "well, it will be fine to finish it later"
Too bad you couldn't complete it in time. I did laugh out loud when zooming out and in and out to play with the ambient audio, the contrast of polish between the block placeholders and 3D-integrated sounds just seems super funny to me.
i think i need to try more of working on fundamental gameplay features, as compared to working hours on something that distracted me on a particular day 😭
Honestly, that's what a jam is for. Sometimes you need to spend all of your time on spatialized beach ambient, I respect that.
This is a very intresting experience.
Because I got to see other developer process midway, no offence intended.
With what is implemented, I would tweek gravity, and track the full submersion in water in some way.
The other pieces seem in place.
im sad i didn't dedicate more time earlier because i really was starting to enjoy what i was making once i got into the groove of creating things
A very cryptic experience. I will spend the rest of my life attempting to piece this mystery together.
Also, I really appreciate you treating me like an adult and allowing me to zoom the camera as far in or out as I please~
I was surprised how easy it was to program, but perhaps I should add limits just for the fact that right now it allows you to zoom so far out that you can break the rendering and floating point precision xD
I'm not sure if the wrong game has been uploaded, but this doesn't seem to be the same game as is outlined in the description. It almost doesn't seem to be a game at all, more of an unfinished test demo - a grey pill that has a gun which doesn't shoot, in an empty world? I'm uncertain what to make of this.
yeah, I had more features planned than I was able to complete, what is shown was what I was able to finish in time
after the judging is over, ill try to flesh out the rest of the features
