That was really unexpected experience! Love the artstyle, love the story telling, crazy that you have been able to do it yourself. Definitely a big potential to be standalone game!

The environment and artstyle / colour scheme is really captivating, and I enjoyed being on the ship, gave me some Outer Wilds vibes. It took me a long time to realise I could land and I had to keep restarting since I would end up just lost in the void a bit. Also think some door prompts might be nice since there's some entryways which aren't accessible. Overall, thought this was a really interesting and impressive game though, especially for just one person in a week!

Developer

thank you! i definitely took inspiration from outer wilds ship movement I love the feeling of how that game played, unfortunately godots web has the shortest render distance ive ever seen, i added a got lost button in the pause menu that teleports you back to the home. Thank you for playing!

really enjoyed playing it! it feels amazing just to float in space and look for a place to land and explore… amazing scenery, levels and storytelling. It fits the theme perfectly. Good job! ✨

thank you so much for playing, i wish i had more time for more stories to tell!

Strange and confusing and beautiful in the best way possible. The environment you put together is amazing and reminds me of a few other games that have stuck with me through the years. I would love to sit in this world for hours getting to know everything - shame its only a week long jam

Developer

I know I wish we had more time! Thank you for playing. I'll play yours today!

at first I was very confused. The art is amazing! Once I figured out we can land on places, I was just having fun exploring. My only issue is I'm not used to move mouse down to go up and move mouse up to go down.
Except that, it's very polished and great! Really amazing work!

The opening dialog feels too straightforward, tbh

But generally, the game is crazy good! I love the idea behind the worlds and the art style you chose. It could use some polishing, but generally, I think, your project can become Steam friendly quite easily! Reminds me of This Strange Realm Of Mine for some reason.

Good job! You have my vote.

Thank you for the critiques! Came across your game the first day and it gave me serious pt vibes. Love the idea with small changes to the same room as you pass through again. Thank you for playing!

Very on theme - I explored some strange places! I thought the paper/drawn like textures were pretty interesting. I played in the browser and the ship was a bit hard to control with the mouse - maybe also if there were an option to invert the flying controls for the mouse too

Developer

Sorry for the lack of control options, a lot was cut from the original vision! Thank you so much for playing it means a lot.

Love this game , pls learn me how to do that  , and for real this game has a nice potential for a full exploration experience . Amazing !

Developer

Thank you for playing! I was hoping for a fuller experience with more paths to go down but I just didn't have time. The game underneath the shader is just red, blue and yellow blocks!

Beautiful and cool music. The controls of the ship are not very responsive and I had a hard time figuring out I can land. You also need to add signs for the doors you can open and people you can interact with. Overall very nice entry well done!

Developer

The intention was for ever door to be interactable but it was scrapped unfortunately so I didn't have time to go back. Thank you so much for the feedback and playing!

Craaaazy visuals, amazing work man!

Submitted

Visual

1 ... Add little more movement than flickering BG

2 ... Add transition to main game

3 ... very unique looks

4 ... main menu may be little more animated (now is only static image)

Sound:

1 ... There is no sound when talking to grandma at start, except when talking (I see potential in this talk sound).

2 ... bg OST/sound pattern -> it feels repetitive

Controls

1 ... Test full screen -> mouse goes out of screen & you are unable to change direction.

Design:

1 ... if you lose control of spaceship/airplane -> you have to restart game cause controls are hard to control & you do not know where you ended.

2 ... check this out: Airline pilots on 30k feet / 10 KM lose feel of direction, cause all around looks the same

(this happens in your game)

Bugs:

1 ... Different scene load lag (1.5sec)

2 ... entire ship bounces if you hit space object

I ran out of 10 mins before checked all context (I haven't found city).

Wow, the visuals and color scheme were quite epic! And the background music helped in creating a serene atmosphere! Great work!

Strange places indeed. I left the game wanting more and I say this as a compliment! Loved the aesthetic of the game and definitely you got across the feeling of this dying world in need of some kindness.

I'm happy to carry the sappling and the honey close to my heart if that means making someone happy too. Thanks for making this game.

in another world if i had another week there was so much more planned! thank you for playing my game, it means a lot to me that so many people saw the vision! Can't wait to play pocketbound!

The visuals are crazy good tbh! Really enjoyed playing the game!

I really love the limited color palette! Coupled with the music and altogether visuals of the game made it really vibey in a super cool way! The flying of the spaceship also felt really cool ans fun! Love the combination of 2D and 3D!

This was really cool! The art was amazing and the dialogue reminded me a lot of Arctic Eggs, which is a good thing! This was a really cool experience! I did have a few issues with pressing F or 'enter' but nothing game breaking. Great job!

I adore the stylistic choices for the game, as well as the color palette and worldbuilding! As a big ENA fan I felt right at home and I think you nailed the theme of strange place very well! Good job! Had a few issues with the controls (getting stuck in the big floating bricklike element) but figured them out at a second go :D

That got existential very unexpectedly. Also I did place this game into my hearth immediately. Beautifuly shaded, well written, interesting navigation and soothing music on an eerie landscape. I had some Anodyne 2 and Hypnagogia vibez in the best way possible. I thought it was funny that you have to say yes to everything to be able to progress in the game :) Very well done!

Developer

Illusion of choice! Getting older does get existential unexpectedly. Thank you for playing my game I appreciate it very much!
