Fun concept but it really need more polish. Add things like highlight chosen character.  Art and plot are cute. Keep working

Please continue this after jam! I can tell alot of love went into this game, its a shame that it is too unfinished to really experience much out of it.

Thanks for submitting this!

A fun game, and the art for the cutscenes are so cute!  Fantastic work getting all this made alone!  The story idea is hilarious, and I love it.

I would recommend adding controls or a tutorial to the Itch page, (you still can even after the grace period) because I started and had no idea how to control anything, and thought it was broken at first.  It didn't help that it stretched past my screen, so I couldn't see all the buttons.

(To anyone trying to play this: Press Q to make food.  Click a character to select them.  Click on the food to pick it up, a table to take the held food to the table.  And then while not holding food, click on a messy table to clean it.)

First of all, absolutely love the intro cutscene, it was very charming and stylish. To be honest, it was good enough that the 'recap' with text felt quite unnecessary.

Unfortunately, since the game wasn't quite finished (undercooked, shall we dare say?), it's hard to judge the rest of it. I was unable to progress through day 1, and the various characters were quite unresponsive to controls.

The art is amazing but its a shame that it wasn't completed on time. I look forward to trying it out after the jam.

Brooooo the art and all are so cute! I was looking forward to playing it!

Unfortunately uhhh the game kinda got soft locked? It's on the first stage 1-1 but I already got soft locked, and I can't even go back to the menu. Some of the buttons also doesn't work properly so that's unfortunate.

Still the concept is pretty fun, kinda like a Dinner Dash lite.

This is a great skeleton, and I think you got a lot done for doing the programming solo, as well as the art

I know that you're primarily an artist, and I would have said focus on the necessary art and gameplay mechanics, then get the story in after, to help alleviate the problem of running out of time, but you can always come back once the jam is finished!

I like giving the player the option to swap members, even if it may not make any difference on a surface level

I second that the skip working would be nice, due to the length of the cutscenes

As well as an indicator on whoever is selected, cause I was constantly forgetting which member the last one i clicked on was while running out multiple orders

But once the bugs are fixed and the full gameplay loop is in, this could be a great little game - the art is already super high quality, and the writing is very solid! Good work, all things considered!

I had the same issue as Rarusel where the game opens up at 1920x1080 resolution. It seems that the game is hardcoded to forcing resolution, I spent some 40 minutes changing the registry settings and made a launcher script but it wouldn't allow it to run on my laptop :(

The art looks sooo cute though and I really want to play this game!

Yikes, I couldn't play because the resolution was too high for my screen. So I almost couldn't tell what's going on... =(

The game started off strong with the cute illustrations and the music, but unfortunately, the rest of the game isn't playable with the bugs in the UI. The game seems to be stuck after finishing the level and it'll forever repeat it with no way to exit the game or progress other than force quitting and restarting. The esc/skip button doesn't seem to do anything. Bugs aside, with how high quality the illustrations were for the cutscenes, I was mostly bothered by how pixelated and compressed the chibi versions were for the dialogue sections. The game has a lot of potential with the art and maybe this can be turned into playable game.

Game was weirdly buggy but I get the idea. The art and writing are what really make this game.  I would love to see the complete version one day.

Jam Judge

I liked the super cute illustrations, the story and the dialogues.

The bugs made it cumbersome to progress through the story but it was worth it. XD

Oh and the themed food and drink designs are excellent! Great work!

Did you do everything in the game? Code, illustration and music? Wow!

Some improvement suggestions:

- The intro sequence doesn't fit properly in ultrawide screen (top and bottom are cut off). Understandable since 90% of devs don't think of supporting different aspect ratio screens when racing against the time in a gamejam. XD

- The game seems to be stuck in an eternal loop. Finishing a stage seems to restart it, so the only way to continue the story and play the next stages is by relaunching the game.

- It is not explained if it makes any difference to select different talents before the stage begins.

- The skip button is not working. It is especially missed since the story segments are quite long.

I would really really love to see this game polished and in a fully playable state!

I hope you come back to it and finish it after the jam.

Good game!

Beautiful art and I love the story! Could use a pause menu and other stuff like general coding polish. After finishing any stage it would go back to the choosing character menu and wouldn't exit, essentially forcing me to replay the same stage again. I had to alt+f4 and open the game again every time to choose the next stage. But gameplay aside, it is very pretty!
