The cards are all about common experiences people who grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s had.

Cool cardgame concepts, and quite well made for a first jam, I encountered a bug where Its says "You Lose" even when you win (I also had that bug in one of my previous games so I can't complain š)
I killed my oppenent but still lose how?
Really fun game! I enjoyed uncovering every card to discover a new type(: I loved the music ad the sound affects and I liked how the AI that you play against is a good challenge the first time you play through(: Overall great job!
Man, I really like the card art.
First I would like to say Deckade is a pretty goated name. I like the idea of cards based of childhood memories it got a good laugh out of me when the first card I got was mom's sandal. The only problem I had was when I won the screen said you lose :(
new balatro over here :
Feel free to check and rate my game :)
I'll take that as a high compliment! Already done my good sir! :)
I really like the choice of music! Also interesting card art hehe!
Thank you! I wrote it a few years back and thought it would fit well here. Glad you liked that cards!
The card ideas are quite fun, especially that Mom Sandal xD Overall, well done, the game is working, and you can play a game until the end! This action point system helps in making the turns more tense.
On the ameliorations part, maybe there could have been a bit more sound design or simple animations here and there. And the opponent was able to play one extra turn even though their life was down to 0, which is probably a lil bug or delay in the calculation.
Good job Noah!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the cards. I agree with you that I should have added more audio and visual feedback. I didn't have the time to add those features and I see how often that has confused people. You really get to see how important the small details like that change the end user experience. I realized that I did not make it check HP on every turn swap, just the player turn, and I see how that allows for the CPU to make a last ditch effort to keep going or at least get one more round. Although there may be a place for that since the player goes first. Thanks for playing and giving feedback! I'll sort out the end screen eventually... I hope
The card designs were very funny, and makes you keep going to see if there are some rarer cards you haven't seen!
Thank you! Glad you found it entertaining! I had at least 4 more cards I wanted to add but I didn't have time to build the special categories they'd require. I plan on doing at least a little more work once the jam is done just for funsies. I actually enjoyed both making and playing this game more than I thought. If you have any suggestions for more cards let me know!
BALADRO 2
It was very fun — I already like card games. When I won, the āYou Loseā screen appeared, which was a bit confusing. Itās likely a minor bug.
Whoops! I thought I has fixed that but it's still triggering the end screen randomly. My bad. Glad you had a good time though!
If you get past the errors that lure behind every step at the beginning, figure out what causes them and lock in, the game is suuuper fun! The idea of using childhood memories as cards is very creative! Keep up the work!
Glad that you enjoyed the concept! It was a little vague of a jam theme, but it seemed to fit well. I'm sorry it's been so buggy for you and others. I've made an update that hopefully fixed all the errors you found. If you don't mind playing it again when you get the chance I'd appreciate the help!
Awesome game! (btw, first ever card game that I played) Good job! Unfortunately the game broke when I tried to attack with the static tv :(. (25 stars!)
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I appreciate knowing where I need to improve things. Iāll add it to my list of issues to debug when I get home tonight.
I'm not sure how the TV Static card broke the game, but I've worked out a number of bugs. If you get the chance I'd appreciate you playing it again to let me know if I've fixed the issues you encountered.
Alright. I will play again at morning when I wake up
Alright. I've replayed the game. This time I could finish. I noticed some bugs like being hit without the enemy using a card, or the loose screen when won (maybe this is a feature XD). I recorded my new gameplay to catch anything wrong visually. It's a 3 min long gameplay. Good job!
Thanks for recording the gameplay! That's actually very helpful. I had no idea it looks so funky on a different aspect ratio. I'll have to look into fixing that. I might have forgotten to fix the random end screen issue... but it could be worse. There's a card that deals damage over time and one that causes self damage in exchange for extra armor. I probably should have added some more visual feedback for those. Your feedback has been greatly appreciated and most helpful!
The cards when you stick them in the attack/shield/health spots break the game :( Loving the 90s nostalgia however!
Oh, thank you for letting me know! I might have broken it when I swapped to WebGL. Iāll fix that when I get home.
I spent some time working on some of the bugs people were encountering. If you get the chance I'd appreciate it if you could test it again to see if I fixed what broke the game. If not I've also included a windows build that seems to run much better
Worked much better! Was a lot of fun. Loved the retro cards and think it be cool to see this expanded where you could even open packs and build decks from it! My only bit of feedback is I won but the game said I lost

Glad it was a better experience! Yeah, sorry about the end screen. I accidentally randomized it with my code. For now I'm working on another jam so I'll have to get to it later. I plan to add more once the judging period is over. My thought was to add a deck from each decade (hence the name) for at least the 90s, 00s, and 10s. I'm not old enough to know the 80s. lol. Thanks for trying it again!
Oh thats a cool idea! Cant wait to see it
