Yeah, pretty fun! Soundtrack was great, had me boppin' immediately which is always good! Felt good hitting a power up/ramp at the right time. Only thing was the timer felt a bit restrictive. I think i would have played longer if i was able to just play in the space for a bit more before being timed out.

Sick game though, looks cool and sounds great. Nice job all.

fun game, although i got stuck at level 4 trying god knows how many times, didnt like how i was punished for trying to skip platforms or missing an item by an inch to get punished for trying to do things quickly.

Developer

Yeah, it's a hard level!

Mine cart riding is something that we all think about, but how many of us have truly ridden in one? Makes me think.

Developer

Ha, does it actually? I've never considered getting into a mine cart in real life for any reason whatsoever. 😅

Takes me back to DKC mine levels!

Developer

Thanks such a huge compliment, thank you!

fun game! good music too! i love the effect on the player where it creates like the image behind him i guess, it reminds me of David Martinez from Cyberpunk Edgerunners using the Sandevistan

Developer(+1)

Yeah! I was really happy when our artist/designer added that, it turned out perfectly and was a big upgrade! Thanks!

This is a really fun game, like the graphics a lot. It reminds me of the minecart levels in Donkey Kong Country. Game was easy enough to catch on to but complex enough to keep playing. More warning of upcoming obstacles would have been a nice touch. Still really liked the game, good entry!

Developer(+1)

Agreed! I wanted to add them, warnings of a sort, but just ran out of time. But it was fun to program, so I'm happy with the result. Thanks for the kind words! Being compared to DKC in any way at all, one of the best games ever made, is the highlight for my day.

Fun, fun concept, would benefit from having a more zoomed out camera (and by placing said camera more towards the right of the character since it can be kind of difficult to see what's in front of the player when going super fast!

Would love to have visual and audio feedback when the clock gets low too, i personally kept dying to time without realizing it for the first few levels because there was actually a clock you had to keep track off :>)
(totally my fault for not reading the page's description though lol)

Art is cute, controls are clean, and overall it's a fun game !
Well done >:D

Developer(+1)

Ah, good call! I had the idea for visual feedback when your speed is low, but it should have also had when the timer was low too, very true. I'll try to remember that for future reference! Thanks!

Love the art, especially the trailing images when you were going very fast, very fun and almost reminded me of Hill Climb.

Developer

Very cool, thanks for the comment!

Fun take on the genre with beautiful art and satisfying audio. Loved the double jump mechanic!

Developer

Thanks!

In terms of theme, this one is on point. Loved the idea of having to manage items to keep your momentum going.

That said I felt like a lot of the game forced me to memorize the level because you go too fast to react to rocks and sudden pits. The camera could've been moved to the right so I can see more or zoomed out entirely, I couldn't get past level 4 because I either went too slow that I couldn't make a jump or too fast that I fly upwards and fall straight into a hole or rock. Signs telling you what's ahead also could've been a huge help.

Aside from that, fun game!

Developer

Yes, I think the team agrees in large part. Actually, we had the camera even closer originally and it was almost impossible, but then moved it back and it was better. We did have some signage, but more is always better! Thank you for the thoughtful comment!

Nicely made and fun music for this kind of game, good job! I'd add feedback for the player when attempting to boost without having bombs.

Developer(+1)

Ohh, that's a good call! I (the programmer) didn't think of that, that's a very good point. Dang! Thanks for the comment!

The game's styling and audio are good.

Developer

Our artist and musicians are very good! Thanks for the comment!

Controls are very polished feel great to play!

Developer

We really appreciate it! I (the programmer) was very surprised to get such good control from a RigidBody2D, but it worked well. Thanks for the comment!

Really cool idea, it reminds me a bit of those "infinite runner" type games, but with a lot more depth. I like the idea a lot of having almost no control except just jumping, and it presents a lot of challenges! Levels are short and sweet, so it's not a chore or punishment to have to replay after inevitably falling into the depths. Great game!

Developer

Thanks, that's literally exactly what we were going for! I (the programmer) am somewhat obsessed with one-button games, so this was pretty similar and fun to make, albeit two buttons. 😅
