...Like I already pointed out, the rules of this category tell you what to do if support doesn't reply after a while: post your ticket ID here. They also tell you not to ask how long that takes. And those other topics you didn't look at point you at the unofficial FAQ that explains it's not an error, but a deliberately added filter. Last but not least, the same FAQ points out what our admins have been saying over and over: that game indexing isn't guaranteed, and you shouldn't rely on it. Please do your own marketing. People coming from YouTube for example will be able to buy your game just fine. You don't need to be indexed to promote and sell your game. Hope this helps.
Like I said, I’ve already done some marketing, and people are still viewing the page and downloading the game—but of course, the numbers have dropped since this happened.
I usually rely on external traffic and downloads from YouTube to help push the game onto Itch’s popular page. I really hope this doesn’t take too long.
Thank you so much for your help. I truly appreciate it.
Hi
First of all, I hope you’re having a happy holiday.
I just wanted to ask if this process is likely to take until after the New Year, since the game is still not indexed and nothing has changed so far.
I also wanted to ask one more thing: before the de-indexing, the game had reached the popular page and was gradually climbing. If it gets indexed again, is it possible for it to return there based on its previous performance, or does the algorithm reset that completely?
Thanks again for your time and help . I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your help. the game was indexed again earlier today.
I just had one quick question: how does a game get featured on the itch.io front page (https://itch.io)
Is that something curated manually by the staff, or does it work similarly to the Popular page?
Thanks again for your time and for the help !❤️
