Game description
Washed Away was created for the 2025 Github November Game Jam. It features a main character who is going around his hometown, interacting with objects which give him waves of nostalgia as he goes through different parts of his town.

Contributors

Zorkxa - all art, story, direction, dialogue and script

ASimulator - code, unity

3dsquare - bgm

Leyla - story, direction

Theme interpretation
We interpreted waves to be the ocean in our game and also the waves of nostalgia the main character experiences as he goes through town a last time before leaving.

I like the art and the bg music.  Minigames would have been nice, still a lovely game

Cool game - I dig the music! Would love to see some mini games added for extra engagement :)

awww the cute cat dusty, the game art is amazing dude and it has a heartwarming feel with sad emotion like its the last walk around. I love the music too, it really tells the vibe

Yeah this is a nice idea. Mini-games would have been nice but understand time constraints. A nice way to tell a story anyway.

We will never know the MC's real name.

Nice idea combining waves of nostalgia with a coastal setting. I like the art style and music. Shame you didn't get to implement the mini-games, would have made the game-play more engaging. Could also have done with making the edge of the world a little less obvious.

I’d have liked to see the mini games for each “wave” :) The music was nice, and the theme interpretation too.
